There are many different kinds of lessons that one can learn. Some, one learns over time and aren't things they can learn in a week, a month or even a year. Some lessons are about yourself and what you are made of. Others are about what you have been taught and whether or not what you have been taught fits with what you have observed about your reality, or the reality that you wish to live. Then there are lessons that are about skills, abilities, limits, and self-discipline. These are all self-oriented lessons that I have listed. There are many others to learn about compassion, caring, observation, listening, and so on; lessons that I'd refer to as being "other oriented". Without knowing more of where you think your strengths and weaknesses lie, its impossible to give you advice, only to give you this kind of list upon which you can reflect upon. In summary, your master can help you learn many things about yourself, how you perceive others and how they perceive you as well. Each lesson requires honesty. If you can't be honest with yourself when you look into the mirror, you can't hardly expect to at all be capable of being honest with your master. If you haven't learned that lesson, I suggest that's where you start. - pixel
