i just read The Trouble with Words forum and would now like to clarify.... The word "sodomy" is an "ugly" word TO ME. If Master chose to say "I will sodomize you girl" then i will accept His use of words. Sodom and Gomorrah were 2 cities in the Desert of Paran (from a map of Old Testment Patriarchal times) and God told Abraham he was going to destory the cities because of the greatness of the sin there in, but Lot lived there, so Abraham begged God for mercy. The story can be found between Genesis 15 and 25 in the Old Testament. If i am not mistaken, the present use of the word sodomize came (had root) from within those historical, cultural and social contexts. If a dictionary existed in 500AD or 1100AD or 1500AD, i can say with quick certainty that the definiton of sodomize would be within those historical, cultural and social contexts. Present day use of the word sodomize is very different. Yes, i agree and to many it is a beautiful word of expression and passion. In the mid 1970's i could safely use the words... "he sure is queer" or "he sure is gay" to mean he is a weirdo in my estimation or he is happy in my estimation. But now? Oh my!! i would be a homophobe and prejudiced and whatever else defines me by the use of those words. And if i looked at the American Heritage Dictionary of the English Language or the The American Heritage Stedman's Medical Dictionary written and published in or around year 1970 versus 2005, the defintions of both words would be culturally and socially revised to mean the present defintion of both gay and queer. FOR ME: the use of the word sodomize is ugly, not for everyone else. i still believe that the present laws of prohibiton of sodomy come from the roots of its origianl context. In fact, many of our present laws come from old religious contexts of rigid behaviour based on how a particular group of people interpreted God and his protocol of people. Is it not true that the Constitution of the United Sates of America was written by very religious people who wanted Scripture/Bilblical issues reflected in the laws of this land? Many times laws are reflections of the times, morality, social contexts of people who share many different values, morals and interests. If the word sodomy was completely wiped out of existence, another word would replace it and a law would be written, i can be quite certain, to prevent the RAPE, either vagianl or anal, of any human being by another human being. i am NOT saying to anal fuck a person by consent or by idea is rape. Do some laws need to be rewritten? Definately!! i know that the laws of sodomy might consider a revision. Anal Fucking? To be sure, i could not live without it. But then that is my personal right to like or love or dislike or abhor the activity. But, until Master makes it known He will use "that" word to take, use and fuck me hard and long, it will remain an ugly word for me. ok, i think i have used my words wisely and well this time.....*sigh, sure hope so! HAVE A WONDERFUL SUNDAY AND WEEK YA ALL!! [:)] shy
