I love animals and I love hearing about people's pets. How many/what kind/names all that sort of thing. At the moment, I have two ferrets Xander and Loki, with an eye to add a third and possibly a fourth this year. I'm a cat person by nature but Sir may have allergies so we are going to foster a cat first and see how it takes. He is a dog person through and through, whereas I have never owned a dog. We are looking at an Australian Shepard within the next two years or so-and I can't wait!

I have a dark calico cat named Mo (short for Princess Mononoko for those of you that know your Japanese myth), two mice, Magical Trevor and Chester the Great, a goldfish named Horace, a crawfish named Leroy and a rabbit named Tracey (short for Savana, don't ask me, my youngest sister named her before giving her to me, she was 3)
That's all I have right now, but I think that my mice are actually a male and a female instead of two males so I will have more pets soon

I have always owned labradors(and have taken in a few mutts too over the years). I have two labrador retrievers that are my babies. I have a yellow female and a chocolate male.

My yellow female is named Rani (which means princess) and she is quite possibly the smartest dog I have ever owned. Sometimes I look at her and think she is like a person trapped in a furry body. She is very elegant and lady like, completely devoted and has also turned out to be excellent in the field.

My chocolate male is named Tank (because he really is a Tank). He is 100% dog. He is quite possibly the dumbest dog I have ever owned.....lol. I believe he has a severe case of ADHD if such a thing is possible. Actually, he was a rescue and had been through alot before I got him. He is like a small child in his mentality and is very loving. He is at my side every moment of the day and night.

Four kitties:

Gizmo the wonder slut (m) -known for being an attention whore and eating everything from chopsticks and toothpicks to socks and underwear! Naughty little kitten. Still a baby and definitely Mama's (read: mine!) little man. I really hope he grows out of eating everything.

Tabitha the shy (f) - little miss feral kitten is slowly, very slowly growing to trust the strange two legged cats she's living with. She's still not sure about them all... and often runs and hides when they approach. But she is becoming more social and a bit more demanding when it comes to affection and attention.

Shadow the dog (m) - okay so he isn't really... but don't tell him that! Hunkered down and grimacing he's one mean looking cat. Twenty pounds of muscle, fur and bone he delights in terrifying possums and the occasional cat intruder in his backyard... sometimes even in the front! He looks like he's run into a wall... a few times. So please don't laugh when you see his cromagnon-cat face.

Houdini the shy (m) - Like his younger, fluffier, female counterpart Tabitha he too was quite unsure of the two legged ones... However he's much better now. T.V. trays still scare the heck out of him though. Oh and moving too fast scares him as well. Poor guy. His two legged friends think he was probably abused in his prior home... especially since the rotten rat bastards declawed his poor front feet.

Sidenote: all of the precious furballs are shelter kitties that we've brought home.

On top of the lovely and cuddly fur babies we've got one loud and inappropriate African Gray Parrot. He finds dark drama outrageously funny, guffaws when someone on the telly announces that someone's died and just seems to pick the worst possible times to laugh. He also has a tendency to shush others if they try to shush him. "Shh" just doesn't work anymore. He says a variety of other fun things but he has not yet managed to say his name "Zazu".

Out back we've got a waterfall and a pond which hosts an array of red eared sliders (that's aquatic turtles for those not in the know)... Koi... Shubunkin and several overgrown goldfish...

We've had other creatures come in and out of the house in the past but those are our current beasties/furred, feathered and finned family members.

I have a Domme and a Dom cat plus my sub. The cats are both two years old and are shelter rescues. The sub is 35 and just followed me home, so I kept him, :-)

The Domme, Pixel, is a 12 lb terror who rules the household and beats up her brother. She is a total affection junkie and would happily velcro herself to your body. She is the smartest cat I've ever seen, and I've owned a lot of cats. As my sister says.. yeah yeah.. she's going to Harvard *insert eye roll here*

The Dom, Dude, is about 18 lbs and when he stands on his hind feet, he can get his front legs on the bathroom sink up to his elbows. Luckily, he is a breed that is know for sweet temperament. (ragamuffin) For such a huge cat, he manages to make a very small lump under the covers and you can never just assume it is safe to sit on the bed. He's also very timid and any unusual noise can send him fleeing to the closet or under the covers. While he is a bit of a wuss, he does have the courage to go with his size. The first time the vacuum cleaner was used after he was brought home I went into the bedroom to reassure both cats with my presence. Dude was in the closet and Pixel on the bed with me when the noise started. Dude pulled his trembling self out of the closet and placed his terrified, quivering body between his "sister" and me and whatever monster was making that noise. I've never seen an animal shake as badly as he was. Never have I been more touched by the actions of an animal than I was by his protection of us.

For years I had a very large goldfish, named Gefilte, but he finally went to that great platter in the sky, (presumably with horseradish.)

Just replentished with tropical fish. 5 pairs, very colorful. Haven't named them yet, but a few are starting to show some personality. A pair of Gold Gourami's seem lively. The Red-Tailed Sharks seem to want to explore, then hide under the shrubbery.

I have 5 cats. The one I'm closest to is named Shadow and so far he's pretty much proven to be a shadow alright. Can't tell whose though. He becomes extremely affectionate about the time Master comes home.
