FR: I rarely travel with B/D/S/M gear these days, but a few years ago I carried a pretty complete toybag as a carry-on. But I also carried one or two competition shotguns (with licenses, permits, etc.) The TSA guys were so into checking out the guns, they never (in a total of about 20 trips) looked in my carry-on. And by declaring that I was carrying unloaded firearms, I got to go to the head of the line, and have a "private screening".

The only place I had problems was in the UK, where self-loading shotguns are forbidden. I flew in just fine, but on disembarking, the office of the Chief of Police in Glasgow impounded my Benelli one summer. No big deal, I just picked it up on my return flight, but what stung was the tag calling it an "American gang weapon".

i would rather just leave it at home.. or ship it iahead there are alot of new tsa regs on the books and i am heavy into electro play i love my toys they cost to much money to have taken

Nope, no problem at all. They even provided a little cage for her. But she had to travel in cargo.

i havnt ever heard of anyone having trouble i asked this to a friend of mine who travles all over and they go to difrent countrys for events all the time and never have trouble with it

It really depends on the toys, checking them in is the best bet and purchase one of the Homeland Security/TSA approved locks.

I am a former post 9-11 airport employee, although the airport I Worked at is 1/1th the size of A JFK, or Reagan, I have seen TSA personel rip threw bags on many ocasions... One time I traveled to florida to see some kinky friends and go to an anual BDSM sock wash and ice cream social, I packed a seperate bag with nothing but my fetish gear for the trip, and where as I worked at the airport I was flying out of, I looked at the TSA agent who was to take custody of my checked bagage, and I handed him a manafest of what was in the bag, I didn't hide that I was kinky or what the items were used for, and requested that my bag be locked after the scan was complete... The TSA agent who was good freinds with me looked a bit oddly at me for a second then said, he would do his best... When I got to florida, I got my bags from the caracel, and by god they didn't even open it... I had put a note on the top of the toys saying that everything was inventoried, and that if there was ANY question to call my celphone and I would walk back and take care of things, that they were NOT to remove the items from the bag and whatnot...

for weeks after, everyone from TSA at the airport where I worked kinda looked at me like...there goes that guy who likes to beat people...

I Haven't had a problem with toys in checked luggage, so far. I put a note on top of the bags contents that I am "doing a demo" and a list with approximate value....nothign has ever been stolen from check luggage, toywise. Let's not get into the new fancy underware that never arrives at my destination. (Now I take tags off , so they don't know if they have been worn)

Carry on luggage is a diffferent story. They made me remove and discard the batteries in my vibs shortly after 9/11. (I put them in checked baggage or don't bring them if I am not checking anything) And I have been asked to take a length of rope back to my car or throw it out. I opted for the car, good rope isn't cheap. (Small airport, chronic early arriver) Now I crochet the rope into a small "placemat" and wrap it lightly in tissue paper. What they don't know won't hurt them, they just may wonder why none of the "placemats" are same size/color.
