when we agree that the US is not and never was a democracy.

We do?

I made have certainly made that comment, but I am too tired and generally bored with this thread to go and quote your earlier assertions that the United States is a democracy.

So now I am further puzzled by the logical framework and approach to rhetoric that you employ.

I don't believe I ever said the US is a democracy.  (Actually, I know I didn't.) What I did make were references to the effect that it is neither uncommon nor hard to understand that the US is often referred to as a democracy since the principles of democracy are very similar to a republic.  I even provided definitions for each and a couple of other variations so that all could see the similarities.

Hmmmm selective aren't we?

How about the insults hurled at him?

Edited to state, I think he has stayed on topic as much as those who have attempted to tag team him, insult him by using his relationship with me... but that is just my opinion.

Whether or not it is common-sensical (did Monkeyboy subliminate that word?)
to you, I would be interested if you could find any post I have made on Collarme where I stated that it was a FR or Fast Reply.  This is not something I am in the habit of doing.

I personally doubt the credulity of your rationale, but if it works for you...

Lordy!  Now this is just too funny!  [:D][:D]

So how do you explain the fact that you quoted an entire post of mine in your message, before you starting writing the content of your post?

But that's ok.  I won't press the issue any more.

No need.

a side note thought... since aj, who did the first set of videos also "predicted" that the bush administration would do something horrific and specifically stated on video, even calling out the wtc by name as a probable target i am guessing several weeks to several months before the actual occurance exactly why is it that you find his work uninteresting to the extent that it was not worth your time to watch?

Since we are now in iraq chasing the oil i think it is a perfect example of  the realities capitalism.

Is it why I am not real interested in watching the other videos?
yes

Full contact women's self defense against a padded male assailant (me) where all fights occur under adrenal stress.

Im not only the movable punching bag, but it is my job to adrenalize the student using either fear or anger from both verbal and physical assaults.  Then they are taught how to effectively respond both verbally and using full force strikes against me.

Clear as mud?

Do you have a video you could post on YouTube, I'd like to see it.

Well, because it is a propaganda piece.

It started out very interesting, and factual, but slowly started to use shaded words, then load words and phrases, and then started mixing factual claims with less than honest facts.

It was very slick and well done, and if you watch it with an uncritical eye, you can be sucked into believing all kinds of stuff that simply isn't true.

The fact is, it was "dishonest" with the viewer, and I have a hard time crediting anything as true or even remotely as protrayed, once I see the techniques used to mislead and lie to a viewer.

*shrugs*

I don't expect you'll agree, but that's just my opinion.

you could do me a favor and verbalize what you feel is dishonest if not on this side on the other...  altho i have found something questionable i have not found anything that i could put a finger on as a lie.  but that may be to my lack of knowledge on every issue they talked about.  that and i would like to know which one(s)

Well, actually, I think juliaoceana got pissed, and decided to suck off all the hate and venom to her thread, so things are quiet like, over here, now.

*sigh*

I knew you were going to say that.

Like I said, the file is huge for me to download, and it is an hour long film, and I lost my program used to save videos from YouTube, so I'll have to figure out how to keep it on my hard drive in order to review it in depth, and give you specifics.

Just from memory, while the stuff about the Gulf of Tonkin was pretty accurate, the stuff about the USS Liberty started taking a lot of ... *grins* ... liberty with the facts.

Once it started in on the "stay behind armies", it was pretty much all conspiracies theories at their worst, with an occasional "fact" that they built a skyscraper on.

I'll try to figure out the download thingee, but, really, what parts of it do you think are "flaky"?

pot, kettle, black

edited to say, you must be full of something to be still talking about me to other posters. More despicable behavior from you, but then again..... typical of your posting style, character, and lack of couth

Also, this still will not make Sinergy stoop to your low level by lowering himself to your low standards.

Real0ne -> RE: Failure of the world-wide capitalist system ... kinda. (12/28/2006 6:19:57 AM)

Ok i took another look at those first two vids.

Frankly i find those vids very hard to watch.

Especially since the greater majority of what he talks about is regarding de-classified cia and other government documents that expose black ops operations that are now a matter of public record and can be found on the official cia and other gov websites.  That said they are very hard to refute and it felt much like a slap in my face so to speak as i have always had difficulty digesting much less accepting conspiracy or black ops theories.

i watched it with a more critical eye this time since i expect i will have to respond to my reasoning and unless i missed something i have not been able to find anything i could really label as "dishonest" or frankly misguided in it.  Thats all part of what makes it so hard for me to watch.  In my last post i put up a link for the downloader, and i hope you get your puter to run so you and everyone else who are into politics can put a critical and analytical eye to it as well.

Actually I found much of the stuff on the Liberty to be pretty sound...and from my own personal knowledge of opps in the far east I can validate a lot of it.

Ok, guys, let's talk about the Liberty.

I'd really like to see a reputable source that confirms that LBJ received several call from a Naval Admiral who begged him to allow them to defend the Liberty, and was told "No, dammit, I want that ship to go to the bottom!"

I never was much a fan of LBJ, and think he was well aware of the Tonkin thing, but I have a difficult time believing this.

Also a reputable report and discussion about any "Israeli" pilot who refused three times to attack the Liberty because it was an American ship, but eventually went ahead and attacked it on threat of court-martial.

Weasel words such as "could have", "might have", "is possible", "claimed" and such do not a "confirmed report" make.  Also, anything in the UK Guardian newspaper is automatically placed in the "doubtful" category.  It seems to be one of the most anti-US and pro-conspiracy newspapers in Europe.

Also (and this is all from memory, it took over four hours just to download the first two files and I've not reviewed them yet), it seemed to me that the timeline was off.  As I was listening, I kept adding up the length of each attack on the Liberty, and it seemed to me that it was 6 to 9 hours long, according to their chronology.
