i hope i'm reading this comment wrong but i would want to know at what age and at what experience level is someone supposed to stop asking questions? Perhaps the OP has never set up a long-distance meeting previously? i am 53 and had my first BDSM experience at age 20 but in many regards am still a novice. i for one have never set up a meeting with someone who lived more than 150 miles away. Hopefully, next month will be my first time setting up a meeting with someone who lives far enough away that it will not be possible to meet without air fare being involved.

I also enjoy travelling, so back in the day I was the one who did it. 600 miles can be a very reasonable air fare (less than 100 bucks if I recall) or split between you both, it's less than five hours by car, meet somewhere in the middle for the day, use seperate hotels (to start off with) and head back the next evening.

What you might want to wrap your head around is what comes after. Most folks aren't in a position to make such trips 20 or 30 times over the course of six months. Do put some thought into if either of you are willing or able to relocate, and under what conditions should this first meeting be successful.
