Correct me if wrong but doesnt the second part of this statement sort of cancel out the aoplogy bit and lead you back to square one?

Seriously, you don't need to leave. Everyone makes their social blunder and says something stupid that people fuss at them for. Even on the interwebs. Does anyone remember my "thoughtless" blunder? *cowers and hides* Actually, please don't remember that. From what I can tell, most of us don't hold grudges.

There is a new wine out on the market here in southern Oregon. Made by a local winery and available only to people who can verify that they are over 55 years of age.

It joins the Pinot Grigios; the Pinot Blancs; et al..

It is called Pinot Mor

Status: offline 		Pity age was brought into it, it’s pretty obvious that nothing here has to do with her age- we’ve seen identical behavior from people twice her age.  And I don’t think it’s much surprising that she got ruffled and upset about people harping on her age- though, as always, it’s a shame when people get defensive and attacking in the way they feel attacked.

I got these same “You’re just young” issues when I said the exact same things I do today about polyamory and accepting kinks.  It really is pointless and baseless- specially in this case when there really is so much meat to bite into already.  No reason to bring up something irrelevant.

Stef’s already said things better than I could, so to the OP I will merely say that your attitude with your first post was extremely rude- would you have walked into a social and started your first conversation with someone like that?  Adding to the fact that it was completely obvious and has been repeated at least 3 times a month on this site for as long as I can remember (and every other site I’ve been on), you really did yourself no favors here.

Now, had you come on and said “Hey, I just got on here and things are really sucky.  Is there any advice you can give to help a girl out?” you’d have gotten a much better reception.

You can either choose to believe we’re all out to get you and just picking on the newbie, or you can stick around and see how we treat newbies who enter with grace and good social skills.

Trust me, everyone gets picked on here, newbie and age really doesn’t mean much.

If you go to Alt, they have a link to ConfirmID and will use the information supplied to compare it against a member's profile.  It requires the member to send in a photocopy of their driver's license to ConfirmID to verify their gender, name, address, height, weight, etc.  I don't recall the fee they charge, but it wasn't all that much.  Use of the service is optional at Alt and you'll see a white square box with a red checkmark in it on the profiles of those members who have used the service in order to verify their information.

Rude? How was I rude to anyone? please I would love for you to educate me, and I am not being sarcastic about this.

1. Did I single any one person out?

Fine, so what I posted was repetitious... has been posted once every three months or however much for as long as the internet has been around... Well I would like to appologize for not knowing any better.

I never attacked anyone directly... and I clearly stated my frustration at the end by saying phew... ok thank you for letting me vent, in a round about way... you're right... perhaps I should have said Oh I'm sure you've heard this all before, but I really need to get it off my chest, so please feel free not to read it and go on to the next post if you wish... but I thought that people would be able to understand, and you know what? I didnt hold a gun to anyone head and force them to read this post... you could have easily said oh ok... she's venting, she's a kid, she'll learn and gone on reading the other posts.

But no... I am So evil for posting it up, and how dare I because I'm being rude to everyone? Why? How? The only people I was being rude to were the frustrating idiots I've had to deal with, and I didnt even name them off one by one.

But I'm being rude? So lets take a social situation... When you're in say a movie theater.. and some obnoxious girl comes in yelling at the top of her lungs... gets things off her chest about how the coke they sold her was flat, then sits down and shuts up... whats prudent? Should you isnult her back and all jump on her and call her names and berate her which does nothing more than encourage her to defend herself which leads to nothing but a yelling match wich gets nowhere? or would you perhaps go up to her and say hey, and quietly say ok look... you dont know, I've been here, done that, so let me tell you what to do, to which she will probably reply you know what? you're right... I'm sorry it was very rude of me, please accept my appology.

And we're not even at a movie theater.. I wasnt rude by yelling... I didnt direct my frustrations at any of you in here at all other than those who I have had bad experiences with, and yet I'm immature.. I'm rude.. and I'm stupid. Very well, I'm stupid, everyone else is right, and I should learn to keep my mouth shut because invariably does anyone truly care anymore? I'd venture to say not. Not about me... oh dont worry... I'm not looking for your pitty.. about holding people accountable.

A friend of mine told me this analogy and its oh so fitting... you're in a row boat, and your fast approaching a waterfall... you can work together and all paddle using your hands and maybe... perhaps maybe make it to shore and safety... but what happens? invariably there are one or two people paddling yelling hey... help us.. what the hell is going on.. cant you see this is wrong? and what do the rest do? Oh shut up and quit rocking the boat... thats just the way it is.. you may as well accept it... now quit bitching sit down and shut it.

Oh but you're right... its been said a million times... and no ones prepared to do a damn thing about it... so why bother saying it again? Just like this site... oh yea, you can post a blog, but oh no.. dont you DARE critisize another user, because god forbid we shoudl want to warn others about the fact that they are out to steal your money like that one guy did when he made a whole profile that sounded like the woman name to put the word out... God forbid that we should try to help protect people from scams, because it might just lower the user numbers, which means the site wont make money from advertising, and we'll actually have to pay for something.

Yea lets talk about petty meaningless things like what model kissed what other girl rather than hey... where the hell are we headed, and why the hell am I this handbasket?

People will respond to your actions, not the intent behind them. The fact that numerous people responded as though you were rude implies that you were rude. Simply own up to it, stop trying to act like you weren't. You may not have meant to be rude but you were.
