Their accents are the only thing making this funny because it sounds like she's saying "heavenly pee" instead of "heavenly peace".

They do a pretty god job though.  My 3rd grade teacher taught us how to sing Silent Night in Japanese and I wonder what WE sounded like :) "Keee ee oh shee, Oh no so wha..ho shee wha..eeeeeeee ka ree........." It's amazing after all these years I still remember it. I'm sure it's nothing more than gibberish at this time.  But she was a Japan enthusiast an I hope some day to go there.  not in this life..defiintly the next one :)

I can still sing Stille Nacht (Silent Night) in German.

Very handy for pissing off the family, at full volume in my best alto.

She found the 'c' some times.

I'll bet Stille Nacht goes over especially well when no one else is doing(or knows ) the original version.

daddys- poor Gackt had the verse nobody ever sings unless they're caroling or in church. I only know it from watching Disney's Christmas singalong video far too many times as a small child.

Oh yes; try it in church - the whole place goes gradually quiet.

Which is handy, considering my ego.

But infrequent, as I dont go to the carol service these days and dont get nearly drunk enough anymore to do it. It also lacks the comic element since now I look like I should sing alto; it was so much funnier a few years ago.

Anyways, here's the first verse if you want to try it; (excuse the grammar, which is likely laden with errors, but hey, no one's likely to know)

Stille Nacht, heilige Nacht
Alles schlaeft, einsam wacht
Nur das traute hochheilige Paar
Holde Knabe im lockigen Haar
Schlaf in himmlicher Rueh
Schlaf in himmlicher Rueh

You were fine till the last line!  It's "Schlaf in himmlischer Ruh'."

Lam, I had to listen to it again just to make sure that's what it sounds like and I nearly choked on my sparkling cider. Hooray for accents.

Tal and greetings

I know a Traditional English Christmas song that I like and is a great teaser.

The King

Health, love and peace be all here in this place
By your leave we shall sing, concerning our King.

Our King is well-dressed in silks of the best
In ribbions so rare no king can compare.

We have traveled many miles over hedge and stiles,
In search of our King unto you we bring.

We have powder and shot to conquer the lot,
We have cannon and ball to conquer them all.

Old Christmas is past, twelve tide is the last
And we bid you adieu, great joy to the new.

I wish you well

Nosathro
