Some people need to be controlled and used the way you described. It completes them and makes them feel fulfilled as a sub/slave. Evidently the author is not acquainted with S/m. Nor have they tried to understand the subtle interplay that takes place between participants. I am far from a pain slut, and not a whipping post, but... that said, a bit of pain here and there to add an edge to play is very erotic. Arrousal is unique to each participant, but it would be the height of martyrdom to place yourself upon a cross to be whipped sensless for only your partner's enjoyment. Personally, I have never encountered that myself. I think that with a bit more practical experience you may find that through actually speaking to the other party and negotiating desires and goals you will find that many women have hidden desires that they have been forced to ignore.
