My Gawd this is killing me....

3 posts moved because...why?
The OP felt that, "...They're riduculous and offensive to me?"
What was ridiculous and offensive about them? Did a flame war come from such posts like "More cats" or "Dogs" or "Privacy"? If it did, I must have missed it.

If the OP didn't like what they had originally posted, then he/she can go back and use the edit feature and remove or add whatever text they desire. Why does an entire thread get deleted?

I know I'm ranting, but I would like some input from the mods and anyone else who gets pissed off to see something get pulled for seemingly frivolous reasons. If a topic on cats or dogs turned so violent as to warrant removal...criminy! I hate to think what a topic like submissive vs. slave would do!

Okay...I'm done. Think I'll start a new thread about fish, unless someone finds that offensive.

In all seriousness though, yes all the tread pulling is getting old. i wish we could go back to the good ol days when it wasn't necessary.

As I posted in the three threads that were moved, they were moved per request of the OP. Her reasons being cited. I wish to clairfy that the "offensive and ridiculous" part were not directed at the respondant's. I asked for a reason to pull the thread's and she cited the reason. My guess is the OP rethought her words after writing them and wished for them to be gone. The OP did in fact change the topic and the original post in two of the three threads to represent nothing other than sillyness. I knew there would be questions as to why the threads were removed which is why I asked for a reason. I also stated that Mod's may not always be able to accomadate posters in this manner so to please consider what you post. With the response I have recieved over this we may decide to not accomadate at all in the future, so if you type it be prepared to deal with it.

The posts you are referring to were pulled for "extenuating circumstances" that Mod 3 has alluded to. I feel the same way you do about posts being pulled. On those particular threads, I myself had given some very heartfelt advice and related a very personal experience that I had once had. I don't reveal the painful things in my past unless I feel that they may be of true help to someone else. It is a hard thing for me to do, but I have commited myself to attempting to help others with the wisdom I have gained through such experiences. It gives them a positive purpose.

I was asked to change my comments in that post. I chose to simply delete them as I felt that anything more would be blatantly dishonest. To be honest, I felt that just deleting them put me in a position of compromising my own personal integrity. However, as I stated there were some extenuating circumstances that I carefully weighed out and felt that doing so would simply be the right thing for those involved.

I have worked hard on these boards to try to represent myself as a person who is not only knowledgeable but who is also quite willing to help when someone is reaching out. Having worked as a professional counselor, I feel the advice I give is heartfelt and sound, although I don't profess to have all the answers. I only hope that the decision that I made today in my deletions has not damaged what I have been working so hard to build. I take full responsibility for my actions in regards to the deletion of my comments.
