Well, you want me to pimp fuck you, treat like a paice of meat, I'm a man I can do that -does it make me special? I don't care either, I mean I really don't care, I've been through the wringer - all it means is that I love you, and all submission means is that you love me, and that's about the best you cna do in this world.

What I'm, talkking about is expectations:  poeple are sitting around, waiting for Jesus to save them, to smite  sinners, what do you tell them?

Christians are afraid of love, because it sweeps everything else away like it never existed.

Utopia is a terrifying prospect for most people.

I agree sadly.

I get uncomfortable around "different" people too, I'll tell ya,

It is impossible not to get uncomfortable around a different cultural group from time to time. As an example, I did a spot of lecturing for a couple of years and we had a few French and Spanish students. When they come to the front of the class to ask a question they're right up close and in your face - it's the way they are. To us English, that is an invasion of our personal space and we don't like it - only someone invited is allowed in that space. Basically, a French student would get right in my face while having a chat, I would take a step back to put a bit of distance between us, the natural thing for her to do would be take a step forward and get right in my face again, I'd take a step back and on it would go. At the end of the chat we would have ended up nowhere near where we started the conversation.

But that is just culturally learned behaviour. There is no in-built mechanism driving an innate difference and no sound reason to make a negative judgement on a group of people who have a different way of doing things. I personally love difference. It would piss me off if England was a place where everyone was white with a similar background and view on life. How boring would that be?
