We are infact heading toward Iran.  There's no denying that.  If Iraq isn't the issue than something else will come up.  I read in another thread that Iran announced a cure for AIDs, not that I believe it, but it's still just as valid of a reason to invade as oil or Iraq.  As for why the government feels the need to lie to us...they're the government and that's what governments do.  That's how they keep their secrets and stay in power.  Do you honestly think it's different anywhere else?  Now, as for terrorism and alternative fuels.  Give me a break.  The terrorists will not stop attacking because we no longer need foreign oil.  They hate our culture and that's what they're fighting.  Oil is a secondary issue.  But we do need to invest in arternative fuels regardless.  My money is on hydrogen personally.  It's the easiest to produce and will therefore be the cheapest. 
Ok, I'm way off track now.  Who will help us with Iran?  The only one I can think of is Britain...I love you guys.  You stand by us no matter how much we piss everybody off.  Iraq, if they get their own mess straightened out in time to help.  The only way anyone else willl jump in is if Iran does something stupid that pisses off the rest off the world.  But they seem to be playing their cards just right for now.

The same we destroyed the Iraqi nuclear plant ,the world secretley waits for us to do the same in Iran . Israel does everbody elses dirty work. And afterwards , as usuall , sitting in yiour armchairs , You'll all bash Israel again in the UN etc

Israel is probably the reason why the US is in Iraq along with oil because Israel is the only other country that gains.

Israel does the USA's dirty work and no one elses. Israel will destroy Iran's nuclear installations and it needs codes by the uSA so when they do it everyone knows it will be sanctioned by the Whitehouse. This will be for the USA and no one else. Let me reiterate. ISRAEL DOES THE USA'S DIRTY WORK. Britain gives the USA a diplomatic fig leaf.

What has that got to do with Israel? The London bombers were Brits. The Madrid bombers Morrocan. Is Israel going to bomb Morroco?

Get a life. The west created middle east terrorism in the first place and all American and Israeli policy is doing is creating more terrorists. Sometimes a little reflection and the use of brains before shooting does wonders.

The terrorists in London who wished  to impose Shariya Law in the UK, Is all Ameica and Israel fault.
Isnt the world lucky they have Israel to blame for problems in Iraq, Lebanon, Afghanistan, and now the London bombings aswell !

As for current policy, America and Israel are exacerbating the situation, aided and abeted by Britain.

I wouldn't blame Israel for Iraq, the USA and Britain are squarely to blame. I would blame Israel for Lebanon, afterall their occupation of Lebanon in the first place created Hezzbollah.

The London bombings I would blame of Britain's policy of multi-culturalism for the most part.

You dodge this question every time I ask it ... Doesn't the United States have the right to spend it's money, however it wants? Don't we have the right to have the friends that we want?
 
The problem with your arguments, is that you treat what belongs to us, as if it belongs to the world. You present option a).
 
a) United States gives money to small country, and they become a friend.
 
... while we see option B).
 
b) small country becomes a friend of the United States, and then gets our money.
 
... now, option A) may be the way you want to go. That's fine, go there with your own money!

Many people forget that they are at war with us. If we pull out, they will still be at war with us. They hated us long before the Iraq war. For many many years they have been training there children to hate us.

You're either for a) Bringing the troops home safely TODAY or
b) LETTING THE TROOPS DIE TOMORROW.

And people say leaving them in Iraq to Die tomorrow is in some way "Supporting" them.

Not hope. Hell, the idea of secular democracies isn't necessarily a bad thing. The Bush Administration has consistently shown itself to be... too unsophisticated to understand the nuances and requirements of the task.

Once Bush appointed the incompetent L. Paul Bremer ( who in his own book, writes about his own unsuitability, lack of training, lack of experience and inability ) it was pretty much all over, and the region degenerated into tribal grudge matches... Which have been going on for what, 4000 years? Hussein needed to slaughter thousands to keep that shit under control. A Constitutional Republic is unable to provide the sort of animals needed to do the job of supressing that shit.

Why would you believe Bush has GAINED the requisite sophistication to control the situation?

If you read the thread dcmike1 asked why was it that the US had to fight the terrorists alone.

The US has every right to spend money where it wants and on what friends it wants but don't complain when other countries don't help out in a war on terrorism US policy created.

My predictions based on available evidence are in no way related to my desires.

And ALL I WANT IS OUR TROOPS HOME ALIVE TODAY. Leaving them in Iraq to DIE TOMORROW is unacceptable to me. I wonder why more DEAD TROOPS is acceptable to anyone.

You do NOT "SUPPORT THE TROOPS" if you leave them in Iraq to die tomorrow, instead of bringing them home safely today.

I beleive that we are at war with terrorism, and I beleive that success is Iraq is vital to defeating the people that carry out this terrorism in the name their god.
