Well lets see;

There's the nine we know about - and Pluto IS a planet, so there.

Then, there's;

10) Vulcan - where Spock comes from
11) Gor - supposedly (so I heard anyway) orbiting opposite Earth
12) the asteroid belt, which might have been a planet at some point?

There seemed an awful lot of supposes in the video. Usually the answers to these ancient mysteries is to try to look at the world through the eyes of the people that recorded the information rather than apply modern wishful thinking. Everyone loves a mystery but sometimes mysteries are just a fooling of the senses and nothing more. It is difficult to see how four planets, no five (Pluto) could ahve disappeared in the last 6,000 years unless David Copperfield has got fed up of disappearing Jumbo Jets.

Are you surprised to hear the number or that the ancient Sumerians wrote about this? Actually, science has discovered that in the beginnings of the formation of our solar system, there may have been upwards of 20 planets orbiting our sun.

And sorry, LadyEllen, the evidence just doesn't support Pluto-as-planet anymore.

Yeh very surprised actually!

They know we are up to 10 fo sho... one has a 3000 year orbit...    i havent kept up on this stuff so yeh very surprised to say the least!

And since when do I have to listen to anything that the science types say?

Meatcleaver will gladly back me up on that statement, even if doesnt agree with the sentiment!

Save Pluto As A Planet, before its too late! It'll be Uranus next.

Really, and what other non-plantary objects (with the exception of suns) have a moon? I know scientists hae de-classified Pluto as a planet. Though personaly I feel they are wrong on that. The size and orbit of an object does not nessarly make a planet.

I first read about this back in the early 70's. By a series of books from Erich Von Daniken (Chariotes of the Gods?, Signs of the Gods? etc). In those books it goes over everything in the video (with the exception of the events that have happened since the inital printing back in 1970).

So for at least some of us this is very old news. I'm just glad science is starting to wake-up to ancient knowledge.

Here's how it really went. The planets that no longer exist were previously inhabited by Man. It was carefully planned that each planet would reach its saturation point of pollution when 1% of the population owned 99% of the wealth.

The elite then left and colonized a new planet. They took with them a number of especially isolated young adults who had no knowledge of modern life and technology... who would later reproduce abundently and provide the "Seeds of Genesis" as well as labor.

The elite then destroyed the old planet to cover up their insidious deeds. In fact, many of the asteriods flying around today are remnants of these ancient planets.

This has been done many times before. Of the 20 original planets in our solar system, Earth is the 11th planet to be colonized.

It will take another 79 years and 233 days before this planet becomes uninhabitable due to pollution and diminishing land space lost to rising sea levels, and there is not enough wealth remaining out of that hands of the elite for them to fight over.

98% of all reported UFO sightings have really been Man's spacecraft all along.

Well now, that was fun. Hope you didn't think I was serious.

Can't watch the video, but it sounds like something from Zecharia Sitchin and his therory regarding Nibaru.

Sub fever, you should have waited to see if anyone backed you up, before admitting you were kidding.  I would not be surprised to see some on here take the bait and run with it.

The idea of my anus getting plutoed worries me.  Im not sure why.

On a serious note, the way ancient people found planets is by looking up into the night sky night after night after night, and noticing how the stars moved as the year went by.

If you have billions and billions of stars moving their procession through the heavens like clockwork.  Then they saw 9 or 12 or whatever of these stars moving out of synchronicity with the rest of them.

We have people doing this today, only they are doing it to chart satellites.   A few of the web sites were listed in Astronomy magazine a few months ago, but you can go plug in where you were, what time of night it was, the general location in the sky (what stars was it near at that time) and the web site will spit out what the name of the satellite is.  Or not, if the satellite is a black box in orbit.

Just me, etc.

i didnt verify it but these guys claim the sumarians had a calander that was accurate within minutes and are the only ancient society to accurately plot the planets in our solar system.   The problem is of course that they show a couple planets we have yet to discover, the 10th planet that completes an orbit every 3000 years that we have now verified to be true.

Rumor has it that part of one of the space shuttle missions was expected to gather data in more depth on this.  Makes sense to me since we thought for years there were only 9 planets in the hood.   The only thing that bothers me about that approach is that i thought the hubbel could be repositioned?

Satellites can be repositioned.  It is done using the inertial effects of blowing gas one direction to cause the satellite to move in the opposite direction.

Takes time.  Takes control.  Uses up energy (which they can make more from solar power).  Uses up gas in the cylinders which are expensive to restock.

The question is not whether it can be repositioned, the question is whether it is worth the cost to do so.  I imagine the list of things they want Hubble to do is fairly long.

Just me, etc.
