MagiksSlave -> favorite horror movie (1/14/2007 3:22:53 PM)

Ok I been on this huge horror movie binge and I just cant seem to get my fill of fright

I love the freddie movies
I watched war of the worlds which was much bettter then I would have thought
and even the newest amatyvill horror I liked that one (I only live about 1/2 hour from the house and Master lives like 5 minuts from it)
Saw 1, 2, and 3 where sick... me and my sisters watched 3 when we where away and my sister insisted on sleeping with the light on after it!!!

so what I want to know is what are your favorites which ones do you recomend!!

My fav is the Hellraiser Series. Any of them that Clive Barker actually participated in, that is. Any ones that were made without him just got... silly...

Never seen any of the hell raisers

((takes notes))

Aileen68 -> RE: favorite horror movie (1/14/2007 3:43:49 PM)

I just watched The Descent the other night.
It scared the shit out of me.  I haven't jumped and hid behind a pillow like that in a long time.

Amaros -> RE: favorite horror movie (1/14/2007 3:53:41 PM)

Dead Alive, AKA Braindead

Toxic Avenger

I was on a big slasher flic kick once.

Creepier still are movies that aren't exactly horror movies:

The Lord of the Flies

The Sailor who Fell From Grace with the Sea.

Amaros -> RE: favorite horror movie (1/14/2007 3:56:20 PM)

I thought Session 9 was pretty creepy, in more low key way - though some people don't care for David Caruso.

Alien is a good one, and Halloween, Jacob's Ladder, and The Others may fill your need to be spooked.

I would have to say the most recent ones to freak me out a bit were the Saw movies.  The Nightmare movies were the ones when I was younger, along with the Hellraiser movies.

Boxing Helena might be considered a horror movie, with a twisted BDSM theme.

LuckyAlbatross -> RE: favorite horror movie (1/14/2007 3:58:44 PM)

I'd have to say "The Hole" "The Ring" and "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" definitely ranks pretty high up there for me.  I went through my horror phase in my early teens and got pretty immune to a lot of it, so when a movie does freak me out, it's meaningful.

Yes, Amaros, I agree, and Sherilyn Fenn is a wonder to look at heh heh.

Oh I saw the Others didnt think that was toooo scary and i thought the end was a little to predictable. Holoween is good though more bloody then scary, I did like Freddy Vs Jason oh and the Jason that is set in the future forgot what that was called.

Ok I have to ask who is the Killer in Friday the 13th since Jason is Holoween and freddie is nightmare on elm street who is Friday the 13th my dad says its Freddie but Im not sure!!!
