Is it me or has the advertising on here gotten more pornographic recently?
esp while playing tetris in the game section, I am kind of disturbed by what use to
be shots of girls in bras to full on gentalia.
I am in no way a prude, but does collarme have much say on the contact of the advertising, because..yuck

My theory is that if the adds are going have full nudity, the personal ads should to. which would be a real shame, because then this place would become in all likelyhood yet one more, find a fuck buddy site

I figure it's one of two things:

A) Collarme is testing the waters about more explicit imagery to see what the userbase will say without actually lifing the ban.

or, what I think is more likely given what I hear on these boards:

B) Amatuermatch has decided to choose more explicit images for their advertizing, and a loophole in the contract (possibly a previously implied condition not expressly stated in their contract with CM) prevents CM from taking down or otherwise censoring the advertizments without being in breach of contract, and the condition will continue until the current contract with AM is up and CM can renegotiate the language with AM.

Or I could be completely wrong on both counts. After all this is just my own....

Yeah, it's a shame that on a bdsm personals site we can have advertisements with full frontal nudity but a profile picture of someone in a corset or rope bondage can be denied. And yes, that actually happened to me, I'm not making it up.

I am tremendously grateful for this free user site. I know that because of the ads we are allowed to use this site for free. My Daddy first gave me to the link to this site lauding it for its classiness and the type of people that posted here were a cut above other sites in his opinion. I was very impressed with the singles section, and that I did not have to see a penis picture whenever I logged in.

I think no differently of seeing a woman's genitalia than I do of seeing a man's. I do not like that when I log on to CM to check my mail from the forum. The ads started off being a lot more classier than they have turned out to be. It went to underwear, dresses, shorts and the like -  to breast implants, and women in doggie style position with nothing covering them. I am not a prude either, but it really detracts from the site, which saddens me. I am sure CM will prosper either way, but I have to say if I was single and looking as a female, I would be put off from registering by those photos. For one they are not even "real" girls looking for men, but models. Most women do not look that good, and i am sure I am not the only female that does not particularly care for my likeness compared to some 18 year old with a  boob job. It just seems wrong on a lot of levels[:D]

OMFG...I am sooo glad I am not the only one that this seems to bother.  I was just bitching to my husband about his very issue earlier today.

I am required to be discreet in MY choice of photos I put up on my profile (no don't have any up yet) but Sallycumfuckme has her crotch spread wide open for the world to see on the side of my fucking email window.  GRRR

I too am greatful that this website is FREE...it has been oh so very helpful...but come on folks...is this really necessary??

The thing I find interesting about the ads are they are so obviously fake. The ads give locations for the girls that are shown in the picture and the location is linked to your own so we all see different ones wherever we are. We have recently had ads for over 200 stunning girls who are supposedly located in a small village near to us. Interesting as the population of said village is no more than 100 in total.

I honestly dont pay much attention to them and havent seen any of the pics you are all complaining about.  While i agree, i dont like the comparison from model women to normal women.. eh.  I'm hoping men arent so dense to compare.

But what could we expect from someone who wants to make use of a laundry fetish?  Of course clothing is not optional with you.  Some of us are conserving the environment by judicious use of washing facilities, and therefore spend a great deal of time in our original packages.

I am all for having more “tasteful” ads, but collar me is a free site and I am very thankful for that. I am sure collar me pretty much has to take anyone that will pay them and therefore cannot be picky in who advertises or how they do it.

It keeps this site free, I ignore it as much as possible.  Mainly by using the main page as little as possible and coming here where there are no ads.

Amateurmatch has all the necessary documentation required by the 2257 legislation for the photos they are using in those ads.  If the users here were willing to provide the same to CM, they might reconsider their rules, but I'm guessing that most users wouldn't be willing to do that.

They're trying to diminish the significant monthly costs of keeping a site like this up and running.  Why would you begrudge them that?

I completely agree, and as long as there are so many wonderful people to communicate with I will stick around, but I am thinking about taking my picture down. I am not worried about people finding out I like BDSM, but I do not want someone I know to see me on the same site where ads like this abound. I am not here to meet men anyways. I was just making the point that if I were totally new to BDSM, thinking about registering on this site, did not know anything about it, I might think twice about putting my ad up here because of the genital shots. If I was not familiar with the site I may think that those women are on here too just looking at the front page, and then I would close the window.

I am glad that CM found sponsors! I just wish those sponsors would be a little more tasteful like they used to be, and I think that their approach is counterproductive. Since they want to get business, not chase it away, perhaps our criticism would actually be productive for them? I mean most of us are not stupid enough to think girls like the ones featured use their service to find men, much less are willing to sign up with names like they have. They have 18 year old girls listed as being 40, I mean even horny net geeks are smart enough to figure it out[:D]

Not every things that is a criticism is indeed negative, most advertisers want to know what those viewing their ads think. It seems like this company is playing with things, because they keep adding different types of pictures. For a while they were using more realistic looking women, and then they went back to this cheesecake thing. I think the problem is that most of the users on this site are aware of the game, and do not hit the link, so they are upping the ante... that is collective action at work[:D]

I was surprised when I noticed a lot more full frontal nudity going on but I know those ads help keep this site free so woo hoo BUT it sucks that corset/bondage photos and photos with nudity can't go on a profile.

I'd like to think that those who have made it to adulthood have the ability to filter out things in life that they find distasteful.  If you haven't by now then there probably isn't much hope for you.

I'm not offended, really, by pictures of naked people, although some of the crotch shots are less than tasteful.
It's easy enough to just avoid the front page.
But is that really what the advertisers are hoping for? Or the site?
