I post a picture just because I like seeing pictures of others. I like having a face to put with the words. However, I do understand why someone wouldn't put one up and never think poorly of someone that doesn't. Some of my favourite collarme forum posters I have not seen, yet I would happily meet. I may not recognise them but I would love to meet them.

Which of course is part of what makes it so darn much fun! My former girlfriend joined the site recently and that is the only mail she has really recieved. The sadistic little twat has had more fun toying with the guys that cannot bother to read LESBIAN before contacting the chick with the cute photo.

Physical looks are important in initial attraction but they change over time. I am looking for a slave/s for life. Therfore I am more interested in someone's submissive personality. I expect a slave to be looking for a Mistress for life and therefore to be more interested in my dominant persoanality. It takes longer for the attraction to happen but if it does it should also last longer. If I can have both then that's fantastic. So I don't post a photograph. The few people I have told about being a Domme have blabbed so a lot of people already know. I lost my job as a social worker because of my profile on this site. Not much more people can do to me. Of course I could lose the love of my family and any chance of having a slave who couldn't stand the spotlight but then I am not sure I would want one who couldn't. People have been discriminated against for their sexuality for all time it has to end sometime. Not in my lifetime of course but the more of us who 'come out' the more likely the law will be changed to protect us.

For many months, I didn't have a pic because I do volunteer work with "unmentionables" (children), and was terrified someone would find out (althpough if they found me on this site, that means they were perusing it too, hehe). I also am active in two other professional and charitable (both national ones)organizations and was nervous for the same reasons. I also was not really looking for a relatonship (and am just now contemplating stepping my otes into those waters, very slowly, I might add). But one day, a few weeks ago, I just decided "to hell with it". I am not sure what changed - I just grew eary of hiding myslef. I figured a few little pictures weren't going to hurt me. I have my own private income, and no employer is going to find me here, or anything. If worse came to worse, I could try t explain my self to the organizations I volunteer with (although i highly doubt any from those would be here ever, I was quite surprised my first Dominant belonged to one of those orgaizations - whihc is where I met him - not here. So who knows, really?) Hopefully, that won't happen. If it does, I'll find a way to deal. - Susan

Me too, Susan. Good point. I put one on my profile and then took it down because it probably would cost me my job (which is not a great job ... just that I love it). Mary T : Yeah, but I am a volunteer - I can't really get fired (I suppose they could "Let me go", but I wouldn't lose my source of income, if they did). My income is not dependent on this volunteer gig. Yours is. Big difference, there. Really. If I thought I'd maybe lose my job, and that was my income source, you bet I wouldn't put a pic up. - Susan
