Status: offline 		I don't post a pic for the 2 main reasons that have already been posted here:
1) I'm not out and I'm way too worried about the ramifications in my life if I did come out
2) There are SICKOS on here!!  When I think of the messages I've already got in my inbox...I'm a little paranoid about the internet...I don't know how close to me someone can get with my IP address to go on, but I don't want to find out, and I sure don't want them to have a pic to pull me out of the crowd with.  Seriously...I'm a single woman, and it's just a bit too dangerous as far as I'm concerned.

Status: offline 		I don't think it's dom/sub as much as female/male. Males are much less likely to have custody to begin with so they don't worry about being outed and losing custody. A single mother usually has custody and worries about her ex suing her for it on these grounds, not because he wants custody but because he wants to hurt her.

Status: offline 		I have to agree that alot of people write to a picture instead of whats on a profile, and that it works both ways like that. I don't post my picture anymore. I figure that if someone reads my profile and is interested in talking, they're doing it because of what they read. It's easy enough to send a photo to someone if it is asked for after initial contact... Whats wrong with a little mystery anyway?

I got one last night that said, "Send me three words to describe yourself and tell me why you're worthy of my attention slut."

I sent, "How about one word to describe me?..... the first word in my profile you obviously didn't read...... OWNED"

Status: offline 		I can say that, as a slave with my picture posted, I sometimes wonder why I've put it out there. Most people do respond more to my picture than to my profile- which states how I'm owned and happy that way. It never ceases to amaze me.

Today alone, I got three messages commenting on my picture, and one demanding that I contact the Dom in question for a relationship...and be willing to move over 700 miles away within the next month. Most days are like this- a lot of one-liners about my photos, and a few others wanting my attentions that never took the time to read my profile in the first place. Sometimes I consider taking down the picture just for some quiet, but, I also just don't care that much, and usually don't respond to the messages anyway. It does get annoying, but it's always fodder for laughter between my Dom and I.

Very occasionally, I do get a nice message from someone who has read my profile, and offers their hand in friendship, which is what I'm looking for. I think I keep on just for the few good people who I have come to enjoy the discussions I have here with.

So, that's my $0.02. Take it as you will.

Status: offline 		i like posting pics but try to only post those that won't positively identify me.   Most email messages i get are comments on my pic, there are far too few that actually read my very short profile message.  But Sir and i get a good laugh over it and there is that block button that comes in quite handy at times.

It didn't happen here at collarme but ...... i had pics on a profile at a site, browsers could tell i had pics and had to ask for them, i finally snapped one day .... a lot of trolls out there collect any pictures they can get from the adult sites !!! i flat out refuse to be a "collection" on any level .... now i'm selective who sees the nude shots and as it has been said, i'd rather they know me first and accept me for what is on the inside ...

Status: offline 		Since I decided to go with facts instead of vague impressions, I had to go do some research on the site before I posted, it was interesting enough for me to think on it some.

Doing a quick scan through of a few hundred of the most recent visits from Male/female Doms/subs, it seems the single group most likely to post a picture is the male Doms, for some reason male subs are highly unlikely to post a pic, males versus females seems to be a dead heat, females did have a few more pics posted over the sample size but a couple of extra pictures of a few hundred samples is within the margin of error.  Strangely amoung females, the Dominants are the least likely group to have a picture posted.

Perhaps there is a subconcious effect going, when we are withing what is considered to be our "natural" role, we are willing to be seen, and we are ashamed to be seen when we are outside of what we feel is accepted.

Overall, even with the Dom/sub differences, it still was not a huge shift, male Doms being three times more likely than male subs to post a pic, and female subs being 30% more likely than female Doms.  The spread is wider in males than females, since in the samples I checked, male Doms posted pics 75% of the time.  Overall about 40% of the sample had pics posted.

Was an interesting excercise and I am sure it would shift somewhat if I took a bigger sample size and was willing to devote more than 20 minutes to it...

This specific picture is up because my dominant said "Hey, maybe if you put that picture of us both up the other doms will stop messaging you trying to get in your pants". Hasn't worked but I like the picture. And when I get the "are u collared?" messages, now I get go "yes, are you blind?"

If I ever become single again, I really don't know if I will have a picture up or not. I get really disgusting and annoying messages now. We'll have to see.

my latest note came from a Dom who thought it was cute to note me asking if he could have sex with me. now i know my profile says i'm here to "meet people and make new friends" however being friends does NOT include benefits already reserved for Daddy.
