Bill cannot serve as President again. Since the VP is basically hanging out, waiting to assume the real job, putting someone in that office who is ineligible doesn't make much sense. Maybe read the Constitution as feverishly as some do "The Emperor Wears No Clothes?"

UtopianRanger, Let Charles Barkley run for Governor of Alabama first, as he has talked about for years just to see how he would do but on a much smaller stage. As for Stephen A., I like him too but think he may be too confrontational for politics. I mean, it's OK to be outspoken but sometimes you have to know when to reign it in and I don't know if he does or not. ed

Charismatic? Maybe for some people. He's a Senator and that makes him an "Insider." "The Senate, where Presidential aspirations go to die." The last President we had who came from the Senate was John F. Kennedy. His brother Fat Ted couldn't even make it! It's (The Senate) an "old boys club" bought and paid for by big business. The last thing this country needs is a Senator becomming President. I'd like to see Lou Dobbs (C.N.N.) in the White House or a truck driver or teacher.

So. it looks as if, by the exact wording of the 22nd Amendment, there is nothing preventing Bill Clinton from being elected VICE President. And hey, who knows VICE better?

I'd just like to one day see a potential candidate with the '' look em' in the eye '' candor that Barkley and Stephen A. have. The five or six candidates that are your glorified media darlings, not only seem like they're in someone's back pocket, but everything is measured and choreographed with them ; they're phony as all hell. And for your standard ivory tower / Ivy league education sycophants, I'll point out that over the last twenty years, we've had two Yale graduates and a Rhodes Scholar from Oxford at the helm..... And during that time, the United States has gone from the largest creditor nation in the world, to largest debtor nation - no shit. So maybe we might surprise ourselves if we elect a dog catcher with a little common sense and integrity. - R

I am ambivalent about an Obama presidency. On the one hand, he is rather short of political experience. And his actual policy statements, while not exactly objectionable to my eyes, have been very mainstream Democrat. He has made some pretty speeches but has so far shown no particular genius as a lawmaker. On the other hand, I find it hard to imagine he could do worse than Bush (a small, cute dog could do no worse than Bush). If he manages himself right, his sheer charisma might tie a lot of the country behind him in ways that are desparately needed these last few years. And it would good to break the 'white male' line of the Presidency. I think he'd be cutting his own throat by tying his ticket to Clinton's, unless he really had no choice. Of course, I don't know who the Reps will put forward to oppose him. Did I hear Ron Paul is throwing his hat into the ring?

I'd vote for Ron Paul in a heartbeat ... unfortunately (based on his yahoogroup), his supporters seem to be largely wingnuts and are also fond of Tom Tancredo, whom I can do without.

Ranger, you want a "real brother" for President? How about "The Reverand" Al Sharpton? I'd vote for "Reverand Al" just to shake things up in the two "Big Box" Partys. I doubt that I'll be voting for anyone in the Republican or Democratic Partys, probably the Constitution Party. They are growing in leaps and bounds!

Interesting article in Rolling Stone this month predicting Gore will run again. 1) He has the fund-raising capability. 2) He has the ability to electrify the internet voters 3) His public perception has changed dramatically since he won an Oscar for Inconvenient Truth. 4) He never once supported the war in Iraq, which are nails in the coffins of both McCain and Clinton. The article made the point that it really is not in his best interest to announce early. Sinergy p.s. I predict Gore/Clinton. p.p.s. will probably still vote for Nader/Biafra, but still...
