Isn't k.d. lang Canadian too?

Yep, and Labatts Ice (not technically an actor/actress or musician or even a human but Canadian all the same!).

Fuck you.  Fuck you.  Fuck you.

Never, never mention that vile stuff.  We aren't proud of it, and to say its name in a public forum is a virtual declaration of war.

Got it, buddy?

Yours,

benji

Beer induced war is water off a duck's back round these parts.....

WW1 - The Germans were trying to put a stop to our lock-ins after closing time........we weren't having that bollocks so we sent an expeditionary force to Belguim.

WW2 - The Germans planned to introduce lager beer into our country........nor were we having that so we sent an expeditionary force to France to bog them down.

Falklands War - The Argies were seen accidently spilling beer.......criminal, we sent a few ships over there to sort it out.

In fairness to Labatts, I've tasted a lot worse.....on the other hand, a lot better too. In terms of embarrassment factor, it's not as bad as Carling brewed over here - now that really is muck.

Don't forget that half of Smashing Pumpkins were Canadian, including the afore mentioned Melissa Auf der Maur who will be a huge solo star in the very near future. (her new CD is very good)

... and Avril Lavigne, who some may not like, but has managed to sell a few CD's.

Wasn't Rush (who I detest) a Canadian band? Triumph? April Wine? Pat Travers?

And going back to the rock legend era ...

Neil Young
Steppenwolf
The Band

... and a really good, but little known Canadian band ... Prism Armageddon.
