I hate the trend toward mispronouncing words that begin with "as" and "es" with "ax" and "ex." Like: I axed you what we're having for dinner, expecially since we're having company over. It makes me want to tear the words from the person's mouth and burn them so they can't ever be used again. Don't get me wrong, I understand that many of us speak two versions of english - the english we use at home and "job interview" english. But this trend is like nails on a chalk board to me. Then there are the standards such "Mistress, may I serve you" from a stranger. I don't particularly care for being called Mistress even by people who know me. From a stranger it's just plastic and ugly to me. Combine that with the intent of "may I serve you" from a stranger and it just turns my stomach.

Oh yeah - there is someone I love very much who is as verbose as the day is long - and he ALWAYS says "the long and short of it is..." which is total bullshit because whenever he says it you might as well sit down because he's off on a tear that isn't going to end for a few minutes. There is no "short of it" with this person. You know who you are! [:D]

Mine would be " bi-lingual a plus", and " we need you to be able to multi-task". I think the corporate world of multi-tasking has leaked into daily environments, namely driving home in the cars!

Lets just be friends. I had it phrased to me as { we are just like friends } after a 4 year relationship. I think lovers should be just like friends. Oh well I heard it from 2 ladies in the past. We are just like 2 people that do not know each other anymore. That pisses them off, but they quit on me. Next....

I have always had issues with people in the lifestyle referring to me as Sir. Although, I learned a few years ago how effective it is to refer to everybody with a polite honorific, so I have learned to tone down my dislike for the phrase being applied to me. Nevertheless, I will generally ask people to refer to me by name unless we are in a dynamic. Sinergy

I don't care to see our political leaders called stupid, mindless, idiots, monkeys ... or any such label. To me, it cheapens our entire process, and takes the whole thing down to the lowest level. We end up getting political leaders based on who is the most skilled at name calling ... for example, the Swift Boat guys, who were clearly a factor in the last election, even though nothing they had to say, represented anything close to proven facts. My honest opinon ... those that engage in this sort of behavior, are just as responsible for the poorly skilled leadership we seem to get, as the people that vote for these poor quality leaders. Just my opinion.
