If I can interject something here, I noticed the subject of Pro before a Domm'mes name implies they are in for the money, because they are that good--to be able to charge. On the other hand, I have used this "Pro" to imply skill, and knowledge. Nobody has ever asked me what my "Tribute" would be, and I wouldn't accept one if offered. But, I am now truly in a quandry not knowing how many just take for granted I ask for a tribute? There is a big difference in doing something you have done for years, and have become good at it and injoy the sensual nature of it; rather than trying to make a buck! quote:
ORIGINAL: ProtagonistLily quote:
How does someone train to become a pro sub, What kind of processes. What keeps someone from just saying I'm a pro I want money to submit. Aside from someone's common sense I'd say the same thing that keeps someone from saying I'm a pro Domme and I want money to Dom. Nothing. I don't think there's a lodge that legitimizes you...I don't think there's Pro Kink Finishing School. I think it's probably as market driven and any other profession. If there's a demand for professional subs (as there is in larger cities with public dungeon facililities) there will be pro-subs. I think that more often than not, they are people who are connected with some branch of WIIWD, probably people who fall into the SM catagory, who aren't part of the D/s subculture. I would think that the money would be good and, like with Pro Dommes, there would be a natural clientele. Lily
