Howdy,

The United States gives a huge amount of money, arms, etc., to Isreal.

If a private citizen in the United States gives money to Isreal it is considered
a tax deductible donation.

The estimate is that over 5 billion dollars are given to Isreal every year.

I am not anti-Isreal.  I want whirled peas.

erm.

I want world peace.  I want Isreali children to survive as much as I want Palestinian children to survive.

I don't believe I have ever written out a check to The State of Israel. I have written out checks to the Karen Ka'emet Forest (sp). My grandmother donated works of art to the Tel Aviv Museum. Some family members donate to the Technion, some set up scholarships at universities there. But a check to the State of Israel? Never heard of it. We donate to perfectly legal charities.

No different than a Catholic sending a check to the Vatican Museum for preservation of treasures.

Here we go again. Blame Israel for mid-east problems. Just like everyone blamed America for 9/11.

I wonder if you guys would also blame a woman if she's raped.

There is no justification for intentionally targetting innocent civilians. Has Israel killed civilians? Sure. It's a war. But they are not strapping bombs to themselves and targetting innocent people. They are not targetting innocents. They are targetting terrorists and terrorist-supporters. If the Palestinian terror groups were only angry at the government of Israel, why not only attack government targets and officials? Instead they choose to target ALL jews. And the reason why is because they don't want peace. They want Israel destroyed and all the jews either out of the holyland or killed.

I am not blaming anybody for anything.

I hold everybody equally to blame or equally blameless.

I am simply pointing out that there are factors that make it possible for Isreal to survive.  Change those factors and Isreal would face a far different reality, one which would probably not be much to Isreal's liking since I have not seen any evidence that Isreal wants to learn how to live in peace with their neighbors.

As Gandhi said "An eye for an eye makes the world blind."  We either all figure out how to work together or we all perish.

is this for real? israel is the occupying force not the other way around so your rape analogy sounds more like you are defending the rapist than the victim.  israel holds one thousand times more palestinian prisoners than palestinians hold israelis.

The state of Israel was established in 1949 by vote of the United Nations. They are a legitimate government. So your claim that they are there wrongly is irrelevant. The world has accepted Israel's right to exist and independance.

And since you think the land belongs to Palestinians because they were there first, then maybe we should hand over the US to Britain since they were here before us.

Have you looked at a map of the United States in 1790 and compared it to today? Much of the land we have was bought, but some of it we conquored and took from Mexico. And you saying now that New Mexico, Nevada, California, Texas, and Arizona is not our land?

Wars change borders. It has been happening since the dawn of civilization.

How weird you should mention the Brits.  The author of the original video has another one with that as the very subject.  You're not gonna like it though.

do you have any idea how ass backwards you keep typing?  the fact that jews were 'there first' is the reason they wanted the state of israel to be set up there in the first place, for goodness sake.

Do you have any idea what you are even supporting? You are taking the side of terrorists over a legitimate democracy. Israel has attempted to make peace dozens of times...many times even giving up land to try to make some sort of peace. But the terrorists refuse peace. They had made it perfectly clear that there will be no peace until Israel leaves.

'even giving up land' (you should have said 'even giving up land that didn't legally belong to them in the first place).

when in doubt, say the word 'terrorist' a lot.  that usually works.

look up resolution 242 and see why you are wrong.

Hmmm... Not seeing the word Palestinian in my copy of Exodus.

On that day, God made a covenant with Abram, saying: "To your descendants I have given this land, from the river of Egypt as far as the great river the Euphrates. The land of the Kenites, Kenizites, Kadmonites; the Chitties, Perizites, Refaim; the Emorites, Canaanites, Gigashites and Yevusites." (Genesis 15:18-21)

"And I will give to you and to your descendants after you, the land of your temporary residence, all the land of Canaan as an eternal possession and I will be a God to them." (Genesis 17:8)

Nope.

Hmmm... to the Euphrates?

Aw fuck. I think the easiest solution is to ban non-secular governments.

edit:

Well, not EASY...

I heard a pundit on the radio yesterday say that APAC wields more power with both the house and senate than both the AFL-CIO and AARP combined. I guess it's beyond my comprehension how a contingent of only 13 million people could gain so much influence with our government in light of the detriment.

If were left up to me......Israel wouldn't receive a penny more in aid than countries like Kenya and Chad.

what do they do with all that money?  apparently the sums they receive mean someone in israel is getting more return on us tax dollars than someone in their own american state.
