Do you wear your collar 24/7, including to bed and when you go out?  Also, what type of collar do you wear?

The collar that i wear is black leather with a locking mechanism and a leash ring.  Master does not make me wear it to bed (although He wakes me up to put it on me before He goes to work) or in public but it is on me at all times that i am at home.  At the moment, He doesn't lock it because i have to take it off before i go to work & then put it back on immediately when i get back home.  Once i get the thin silver choker collar are were looking at i will wear that one any time i go out in public (which i am thrilled about!), and for in the meantime i was thinking that a ribbon or something else that is less eyebrow raising than my leather collar yet still symbolic would be a good option.   i am considering asking Master if i can start wearing it to bed too, but i am still getting used to it and He is worried about it being uncomfortable enough to inturrupt my sleeping patterns and/or give me a sore neck.

I have a thin black leather collar but I don't wear it all the time because I don't like having anything tight around my neck for too long. When it gets too much I will wear it around my wrist for a while, and there it just looks like 'gothy' jewelry. Maybe you could try that if the collar is flexible enough? It's a bit more discreet.   
I also have a thin gold chain I wear all the time, but I see you've already thought of that.
Other than that, the only sign of ownership I never take off is my wedding ring ;)

My girl wears a necklace with a specific charm 24/7. I wear something similar, actually, that symbolizes my household to me. A lot of the gay men I know where the dog chain with a lock 24/7. I'm not sure if the fact they're from larger cities rather than the country of the south has anything to do with their comfort level in doing such.

I used to carry my pink peep bunny backpack clip everywhere, but it started getting dirty.

Mine is a titanium and gold linked thick chain that is on me 24/7 except for medical purposes (had to remove it for x-rays once, etc.).  Once it broke so I kept it with me in my pocket or purse until I could fix the clasp.  Sometimes he removes it to protect it when engaging in various activites.

I also have a dog collar I wear while at home and to bed.  I love the way the clasp of that collar jingles against the metal collar.  I have been known to forget the dog collar is on, and I've gone out in it a few times.

Similar to MasterFire's girl, I wear a thin gold rope chain with a heart charm. Inside the heart is Master's initial, because he owns my heart. It was symbolic to the both of us, and I can easily wear it no matter what the situation. For training and scene play I have a leather collar with D rings that is used, but above all... whatever the collar or situation, it should be accomodating to both Dom and sub and fit the situation.
Part of any lasting relationship is communication and respect. If that is not acheived you have nothing. I trust Master's judgement, and the collar he offered me exemplifies his values and his love. It could be a string, and if offered to me by him it would be more valuable than gold.

My 24/7 collar (when Master finds one he likes) is going to be a type of chain that can be regular jewrly.  Right now i have a black collar that i wear when we are together it is not something i can wear out in public.

Master has me wear a silver necklace two charms...a heart and a key.  Since he would rather me wear a collar all the time, even around my vanilla friends and family, he chose one that is pretty and can be worn around anybody.  I wear it all the time except in the shower and sometimes I leave it off while I sleep.  I don't want it to tarnish.

the one i was collared with in april can be seen to the left. i wore this until it gave me a rash from summer heat when it was replaced by a choke collar with a padlock. any necklace He gave me is also acceptable but enforcement of collar is not in play anymore. for now.

I wear a black patent leather collar with a leash ring when we play. I wear normal necklaces out in public to symbolize my collar, and to look pretty :).

a stainless steel Gor collar which i have permission to remove when i'm with my family (until i get my new collar next month) and sleeping.

i wear a stainless steel handcrafted chainmaile collar, and matching perminant cuffs.(there are photos in my profile.)  No one has ever commented negatively about them. But the people who did my daughters MRI looked at me odd when  said they wouldn't come off... LOL

I used to have a steel band that went around my throat; it was welded on and the only way to remove was to cut it off.

It's a silver necklace with a heart pendant. Not to bed and not to play because the chain broke once already. For play there's a leather one but it isn't narrow enough for me to sleep comfortably in.

My slave wears an anklet 24/7, which is not removable. It is a good compromise as she can wear it anyplace without anyone the wiser.

   I've never worn one except for play or bondage.   I have never liked jewelry as a matter of fact when I was married, I never wore my wedding band because having it on my finger bugged the heck out of me.  
  I guess for me knowing I am owned has been enough.   If it were insisted, I'd do it but would probably prefer branding to the symbolic collar.
