okay, i am going against the majority here.... for me it is the first one.

i do not expect nor need Him to call if something comes up and He going to be late or cancel plans. all that is expected of me, is that i will be ready for when He has said and then i wait for Him.  if He is very late or it is something that He has planned and confirmed earlier that day then i might call as the time got close to see if something has come up or He has had a change in plans.

Oh and Ah.. neither of those are priorities to me.  I'd have to say i would put a quite a few over the obvious answer.  i'd have to say something like "not being a convicted serial rapist" to be one of my higher priorities when it came to another.  I can still think of a few higher then that.

It might help to not take the questions so literal.  Sometimes questions reflect a motivation or focus of a person.  Silly questions yeah... but interesting none the less.

Not to be a stickler but the actual saying would be "cut off their noses to spite their face." It is a popular misconception / mistake to say despite.

Um, since number two is so popular, I vote for number one. Besides, Ive never tried number one. Sounds interesting. A timely date doesnt sound half so appealing.

i still think its what i orginally thought, despite what it says about motivation or focus of a person.  It also seems like an "easy" answer.  Especially when you look at what each of the options entails and what each of the options says about the other person/you.

and a <sticks out tongue> to you too!  i like the way i say it better.  Despite also means "in spite of"  among a few other things......  So while i agree the word i used does not fit the proper saying - that is just too darn bad, cos my word works too! 

if i've offend either of you, i'm going to have to get my dog to stick out her tongue too.  I've also 3 cats, so i am warning you that getting offended is a really bad idea........ you could end up with 5 critters sticking out their tongues and then what would you do?

I'll take.... um...door #.. oh hey, what was that star trek maneuver called when there are no good options so they make a third one?

I don't care if he's late or early. I'm happy to see him even when he shows up unexpectedly - just to see what I'm doing. I don't care if he calls or not. "Oh, he must be running late" isn't exactly rocket science. And if I know it's been hectic and he doesn't call, I'm pretty confident he's laid down for a moment and fallen fast asleep. It happens. I'm certainly not going to die because he's tired, and my relationship is certainly based on a heck of a lot more than just how punctual he is - or isn't.

If we're going somewhere special and getting dressed takes time, I may call to be sure when we're going so that I can be ready, but beyond that, it doesn't really matter.

Besides, I've had my share of running late. We pretty much take it in stride since seeing each other is much more important than getting all wierd about where the big hand and the little hand are on the clock.
