Status: offline 		Hello everyone I'm a little new to the scene but have always been interested in it. I know a fair amount about this and that..but I have always been uncertain as to what it means when a Mistress/Master is into sound torture. Is it really just playing or subjecting a submissive to obnoxious sounds? Is there more to it? I would love to know.

Status: offline 		this reminds me a bit of torture methods employed by some prisons, in which prisoners are forced to listen to really loud rock music, or dogs barking, etc. that's the only meaning i can possibly think of. you've got me curious now as well, though! :) thanks for posting this...i don't think i've seen any posts on this particular topic before.

Status: offline 		I have never heard of such a thing ... so I am just curious as to where you heard it ... and if you met a Dom/me who was into it, why didn't you ask?  They don't bite ... often.

While obnoxious noises are a prominent component of political torture (and are probably part of someone's scene), I think what people have been telling you about are urethral sounds:

Now that is a truly amazing experience, being blindfolded, tied to a table and knowing that she is doing "something" down there, but you are not quite sure what it is. Then she removes the blindfold tells you to lift your head and shows you. That blew my mind more than just about anything including any anal play ever did. It takes a skilled partner with the correct medical tools.

I've seen them also used along with a violet wand, but..............not on me!

Sound torture, is when you put an metal curvy "sound" into the urethra of the phallus and take vibration due to tuning fork, electrical pulses and use the sound to transfer it into the urethra.  Sounds come in different gauges, which stretches the urethra out.

Respectfully…the tool is called a ‘sound’ because it ‘dives deeply’.  (Think submarines.)  Actually, one does not have to use vibration or electrical pulses to enjoy a ‘sound’.  At least that’s what I know of it.  Just letting the thing ‘sound’ on its own…gently plunging down the urethral tube till it stops of it’s own accord…gently bumping the bladder. 
 
And…it is not just for phallus.  Gee, am I the only woman who enjoys ‘em?

I agree that it didn't hurt and wasn't torture in the physical sense. But I wouldn't have called it heaven. Not to get too political here or sound like Alberto Gonzales, but there are  actions which while they might not necessarily be "torture", are nevertheless  designed to, and usually result in, eliciting the full and complete cooperation of the subject.

As a guy, I've grown pretty fond of the little guy down there and the way he functions so perfectly for pleasure and the normal evacuation of excess fluids. Plus, being right down there up front, I get to see and handle him quite a lot. Know what he likes and doesn't etc.

So sitting up and seeing a stainless steel rod inserted and threaded 8 -10 inches down into there, well, it kinda gave me a shock. In fact,  "Violated" is the operative word. And pretty well ready to go along with or do just about anything the Lady who had it (the "steel" shaft, that is) gripped between her fingers, asked.  Did not want to upset her or cause her any surprize or displeasure which might lead to a sudden motion in the wrong direction. Or dropping it.

What was that expression back in the LBJ years? "Once you have them by the balls their hearts and minds will follow"? Well that goes double when someone has  a long steel shaft inserted into your penis. 

Let's just say that while it didn't hurt, she had my full attention and cooperation the entire time.
