There are no hard and fast rules for "spotting" fakes. You just have to be sensible, don't jump into anything that sounds too good too soon. Don't believe every damn thing someone says online. If something seems a little "funny", be wary, don't make excuses for someone's behavior and plow blindly ahead. If something seems a lot funny, cut off the communication and move on. Remember you don't owe anyone anything simply because they have given themselves a title. If you think someone might be a fake, they probably are. Move on. Don't get hysterical because you found one, just move on. They don't need to be reported to the authorities, because the authorities can't stop them anyway, only administer a slap on the wrist. If something or someone sounds too good to be true, they probably are. Be wary until you know for sure. Don't assume the ID someone uses is actually what they are. "susiesuperslave42DD" might just be a 42 year old man.
