I  can be nice or I can be cold as ice.  It depends on who I am with, and how I feel.
If I had to make a choice, I would say I am a nice bad mistress.

Depends on my mood...have you pissed me off? If you've pissed me off you can expect me to be as cold as ice to you...a chill you can feel across the room...and there is no way in hell I'll play you that way.

Otherwise I'm pretty laid back and nice...but I can beat you to bloody with a smile on my face and giggling the whole time...it throws a lot of people to watch me laughing while beating someone...but if you can't have fun while doing this...why are we here?

I am glad to see a variety of attitudes, those reading this can see we are all different.
It is amazing that so many expect "us" to be the stereotypical Domina.
But we ALL know that ALL of us sit here and type in catsuits or expensive fetishware,
in full make-up, in our 6 inch thigh high boots, with whips and toys near by.

I am most definately the good Domme type.  I can be overly polite, I request things, i dont demand... however my pets know better than to piss me off.  I am not always as cute and fluffy as I may appear.  If I am pissed, I can be damn scary. 

I am not this way becasue it is what someone i am with wants or likes, however.  This is who I am. I am the same way in my more vanilla pursuits as well.

I'm usually nice and run on an even keel, I also request and don't usually order. I've always expected my requests to be met, the final say.  I guess this may be one of the reasons I've had such confusion trying to place labels on myself.

I could take all Lorelei115's comment and apply it directly to me.

It takes alot to get me upset, however, I'm also menopausal and there are a few occasions if they do upset me, there's no place they're gonna be able to hide and things are gonna get ugly. They'll get the cold as ice treatment and later the lash of my tongue.

I prefer to reward rather than punish. I think I see the alternative as a reward for bad behavior. I wouldn't want to do the power struggle day after day. That's too much like work and I don't think it would work in a long term relationship that I would want to have. They either agree to it, or they don't.

I rarely post here but i felt i must tell you all that ShiftedJewel is a bad Mistress and a bad example.
 
Why just last night around 10 pm i wanted to go play in the foot or so of new fallen snow.
 
Not only did she not stop me she joined me, in her nightgown( i was in pj's) fuzzy boots and leather jacket and actively encouraged me to stomp in the snow after dark!
