Just wait until I tell 32, 43, 38 (my favourite cows in the herd) or.....bull #2 (he's got a mega tude, #1 and I get along okay but that #2 we have an understanding, I stay outta his pasture and he doesn't tear thru my fence and then, ME) that they are not as sexy as the neighbours (the deer)......boy are they gonna be hurt.

Yes but rarely. Just do not eat enough meat to make it worth while anymore. I did alot more of it when my kids were young and still living at home. The last thing we butchered, several years ago, was 4 lambs to split between 4 households..........lamb kabobs...YUMMY!!! Before that I did chickens alot, before the coyotes got the best of my attempt to raise chickens. Somewhere I have a funny DVD that was done during the lamb butchering, one of the guys was a film major at the university. It's quite hysterical. Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaatttt, Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaattt, I swear that sheep was calling his name. Oh, and the cattle are mostly breeding cattle. The young bull calves get sold late fall.
