Especially here in England most of the pubs are full of teenagers,i like this idea of a fetish theme pub.Where you can mix s and m with your favourite pint.At least it would'nt just be full of teenagers,as it would be for all age groups.Except for anyone under the age of 21 would not be allowed in.As frequenting pubs should be for all age groups and not just for youngsters.

Anyway i propose that it would be free entry to my fetish bar,i'll call it drinkers kink i think. That will make people blink, and think. But the drinks would be a little more expensive, when compared to your local. But hey wherelse can you go for a pint and indulge in s and m dressed in your favourite fetishwear. As there would also be changing rooms for punters,to save you face, just incase you might be a little embarrased. Also hope you all have fun at Drinkers kink,as you might even meet the lady of your dreams there.Cheers.

I'm going to be a wet blanket here and say that d/s play and alcohol dont mix too well. I wouldnt go to a d/s themed pub. The dangers of over indulgence in alcohol and wielding a whip, crop flogger are too high.

Make it somewhere along the A12 and I shall visit for sure! But I do think it would be better as a coffee/soda bar type place than one with alcohol. I think booze would attract too much trouble of the noisy and nosey drunken yob variety

Ok it will be soft drinks only at Drinkers Kink only for those who want to partipate in s and m everyone else can drink what they like within reason. They will have to behave themselves otherwise they will be thrown out and if they persist in misbehaving they will be banned for life.So the drinkers will be forced to behave themselves,at Drinkers Kink.

I could but how do i know otheres around me wielding single tails are not out of their trees. It would not be a safe environment and you wouldnt get a licence for it anyway.

Not in this case - i would virtually guarantee you would be unable to get a licence for such a club especially with the proposed laws on bdsm at the moment. Ive been in the licenced trade for 16 years and a licence for this kind of club would not be issued due to health and safety aspects.
Even if you obtained a licence for such a venue it would be nigh on impossible to find an insurance company to cover you for personal and employee liability insurance. You cannot run a business without this, its illegal.

Great idea but i think there would be to many obsticles to make it a viable buisness. As well as the problem already stated above, you would find most of the locals in oppisition to such a buisness and your buisness quickly ends up with a reputaion as a broffel by the vannila community, thus attracting unwanted attention and problematic clientel. Plus if you lose the alcohol (which i would suggest) then you need another primary source of income to keep your buisness a float.

I think a more complex set of rules is required.

First of all, you can't watch everyone. Some will drink and play. But some can hold their ale, others cannot. You will never know if this is the last stop of an extended barhopping night. If their demeanor is right I don't think you would refuse them a drink.

Personally I like a little alcohol with my scenes but I do understand how this could become the worst nightmare ever. You also do not know who is mentally out of it. Some clubs I've heard of use a universal safeword, like RED. Security comes right away, and things had better be going right, that is the bottom is realeased or being released right now. As with any place, if someone doesn't look coherent enough to say, drive a car, of course you can't let them play.

The way I would do it though would be different. It would be totally private, no licensing at all. Don't even sell drinks, the bartender is there to deny drinks not to serve them. Of course he serves them, rather than BYOB, but he can see if someone needs to be cut off.

My idea of something like this would be straicly member only and their guests. Each member is responsible for the conduct of their guest(s). Dues they pay are based on their consumption of drinks and food, but no money changes hands at the bar except tips. The door is locked and you need a card to get in.

I agree with the changing rooms, and I think there should be 'private' rooms as well.

Just my opinion, but that is how I would do it. There wouldn't be alot of local notariety, and actually the place could have hotel rooms for out of town guests and members. Like a time share. Of course there could be some equipment in the rooms :-)

Are you really doing this or is it a pipe dream ? It would be interesting to see how it does. But I think the private club route is the best to avoid trouble of any kind.

If you are actually doing this, best of luck. I would like to hear that you are doing well, because that is erncouraging. One day there may be more of us then there are of them :-)

Americans are far too puritanical when it comes to alcohol to see this happening widespread anytime soon.

Luckily there are some kink clubs and events which say "adults should be allowed to consent freely in their own relationships" and actually MEAN it and alcohol is perfectly acceptable.

We have just such a club here in MN called, Bondage A-Go-Go, Ground Zero - well, sort of.. it's more a theme night on Thursday's for the goth/industrial set. Drinks and kink. I went there within my first week of moving to MN and never returned. It was horrible. The industrial music was so loud you couldn't think (I had a headache within 5 mins of walking in the front door), the pro-domme they had running scenes was a joke, the floor was.. sticky, it was hot, crowded and very little room to move and I was jealous of the caged dancers because no one was able to jab elbows into them, an event which happened at least a dozen times during the two hours I endured the place.

Truly, it was just baaaad. That said, the girl who went with me loves it but then she's almost half my age, so maybe I'm just too fucking old.  Oh, and it wasn't a soda bar, although the watered down alcohol might as well have been soda for all the kick it had.
