ORIGINAL: windchymes What kind of earplugs are using? I use those soft spongey ones that you pinch, put into your ear canal, and they slowly expand and really block noise well. I don't even notice that they're there, maybe you could try those? Also, I've found that running a loud fan can be great for muffling noise. There are earplugs that are basically a formable hard wax. They work a lot better than the disposable foam, and can be reused. Sinergy I've used those, too, but since the OP was saying that she was having discomfort, I thought she might be using the harder ones so I suggested the sponge ones. And I actually do like the sponge ones better, since, like I said, I can't even feel them once they're in and all expanded and settled in the ear canal. FP, I tried to find a link to the ones I use, but couldn't. The ones I use are shorter and thicker....maybe try trimming yours down just a little to make them shorter, and maybe don't put them so deeply in? Like I said, I'm a little mystified because I don't feel mine at all when they're in. Also, as someone else suggested, the "Breathe Right" strips for your partner might help him. They work wonders for my brother-in-law, who uses them every night. They're also available over the counter.

You know it's going to be a GOOD blow job when she puts a Breathe Right strip on first. Pick-up artists and garbage men should trade names.
