I dunno, maybe some people like to move at a pace they feel comfortable at so they aren't being rushed? Shocking I know, but we submissives do like to feel safe when entering new relationships... I always see this as what I refer to the "slut phenomenon" in vanilla company. Person A walks up to person B and asks, "Will you sleep with me?". Person B says no. Person A says "Fucking slut!" and proceeds to tell everyone what a terrible slut person B is because not sleeping with someone is the preliminarly slut requirement. In BDSM it's the "fake phenomenon". I have experienced this myself many times. Person A e-mails me and asks "Will your dominant lend you out?" We respond with "Thank you for the interest, but we prefer a monogamous relationship." The next response? "You are such fakes!" According to various people on this site, my dominant is a fake because he doesn't control my every thought. I'm a fake because I didn't submit everything to the first penis that walked along and had the balls to tell me to get on my knees. Exactly what, pray tell, makes you any more qualified to identify fakes? Because so far every time I've seen anyone wave the word "fake" around it's been the banner of the bruised ego and the rejected person. "I'm not really rejected, they are just fakes!", completely dismissing the fact that if you had an interest in them in the first place. So please, lay out your fake-finding certification. I'd love to know where I can get to training to join the fake-finders squad. Flame away, Aqua
