I was just thinking about your father point and we don't really have swear words intended for women. The English versions were all designed for men to be hurled at men. Even female organs are insults intended for men. The worst we have for women is "cow" (typically English eh, really going for it!).

I remember watching The Sopranos and uncle ? (forget his name, Tony's uncle) called a woman the c word. I couldn't believe it. It's one of our most used swear words but never directed at women. It's an unwritten rule here that vulgarities are a man's domain and women should not be subjected to it. Things are changing but where I grew up bad language was reserved for the pub and kept out of the home.

I really dislike cursing and usually if I do, I get odd looks from people I know like "you are cursing?" -- lol... blame it on my mother's upbringing... she really hated it... and to her "Jesus, Mary, and Joseph!" was what she said when angry and if you heard it coming from her, you had better run far away -- she was pissed!. hehehe

Anyhow, I do curse like nobody's business when I'm mad, and that happens a lot at my job lately, but, have to smile instead... so, what I discovered is that I have been known to play a particular song on my iPod, put on the headphones and silently sing along to one set of lyrics in said song (can use the excuse that I'm simply singing along... LOL)

Why you stupid stool softner. You flaming yeast infection of a idiot.You rocket scientist with a blown circut board. I make my own phrases up, I get tired of the standard ones. I work with 150 people, most of them lazy idiots. So I am not two faced talking behind their back like most people do. If they piss me off, I tell them in their face. My supervisors love it , they tell me they wished they could do it, but they would be fired for insensitivity. I could also if the lazy carcus of an eyesore would report me.

When I am having a bad day, I take after my grandmother.  I swear in Yiddish. I feel better and can swear without getting in trouble for doing so in front of customers.  And much tomy immense amusement, if you swear at someone in Yissish and you use the right tone of voice, you MIGHT just be thanked.  Talk about making your day, I told someone to go take a shit for themselves and they said thank you thats nice.

since i have a walking-talking tape recorder, i would say "fudge" whenever i get upset. most of my swearing has been Brit-related (because many of my good friends are from across the pond and i have picked up their nasty habits) bloody, bollocks, fuck-tacular (as in 'i'm having one fuck-tacular day'). if people really piss me off - i call them a cow or fruitcakes
