Status: offline 		I know this has been brought up countless times but I'm bringing it up from a slightly different angle. 

What if a Pro Dom/me contacts a sub/slave?  I, for one, think that act alone absolves the sub/slave of any financial responsibility to the Dom/me.  I have had 2 so called Pro Dommes initiate conversation with me only to blow me off when I said I could(and would) not pay for them.  And, no.  I'm not bitter.  I just think it brings up an interesting situation.

Status: offline 		I've met men who say that they have been the personal sub or slave of a pro and as such never paid. Of course, they did all the usual stuff like paying for dinner and movies but the kink was included for free. So sure, it can be done (having your dom and eating her too, hehe) but I wouldn't assume that just because a pro contacts you that she's automatically looking to take you on as a personal non-client in this way.

As long as these people are not representing themselves as anything other than what they are and are not rude in their acceptance of your rejection of their services, I think it's a normal way of trying to get new business.

Unless they've come to some agreement I don't feel he'd be under any financial obligation at all regardless of who contacted who.

If I were to buy a product that was advertized by direct solicitation, I'd still be expected to pay for the merchandise. Pro Doms are selling fantasy fulfillment, a valid thing to do. Should you choose to pursue this service from them, you are most certainly financially obligated. If you don't want the service, simply say, "No thanks," move on.

Happen's all of the time.  However they still want to be paid.  Have to advertise don't you?  How else does a business get more business?

Personally I think all money dominants are submissives in disguise.  They have to do as ordered or they don't have a job.  Though, that is merely my opinion.

Status: offline 		Personally, I'd find it pretty tacky to get contacted by somebody saying "hey, want to fuck?" and when I respond in the affirmative, they say "sure, that'll be fifty bucks."

But, then, I don't care much for relationships predicated on business, or pro-Dominating itself.

I go with the idea that they are soliciting business.  As someone else noted, unless they state otherwise they are most likely looking to make a sale through direct contact.  Tell them that you are not interested in paying for dominance and, unless they tell you they want to dominate you for free, move on.

Status: offline 		When you're in a hurry to find what you're seeking, they will come out of the woodwork, "promising" to give you what you seek, but of course for a price. If you really want to be successful, stop trying so hard and just integrate yourself into the bdsm community. Over time, people start to see you for what you are, and you begin to find yourself attractive to the right people. In the past, when I was in a hurry, I got exactly what I deserved for being in a hurry. I'm a lot more selective and careful these days, but I'm not dismissive either.

I think the difference (and hence the conflict here) comes from the fact that this is primarily a personals site for people looking for similar types of relationships to meet. Wouldn't you think it odd if you were on Match.com or Eharmony.com and someone asked you out on a date and then said it would cost you a certain amount per hour when you accepted? If this were a site that was strictly based on offering and accepting professional services or goods, like ebay, this would not be an issue. But the pros on this site often have normal profiles and only start asking for money later. That is, other than that majority of them that demand a "tribute" before you can even chat with them. All in all, I am not happy with the way that a search for dominant women returns relatively few who are not looking for money in one way or another but until CM changes its TOS to make soliciting or advertising against policy, my opinion doesn't count.

I'm willing to be able to just hit ignore and screen myself in exchange for a free site that's really decent. Believe me, even when you pay on a sex/kink site, you still get adverts thrown at you. I was a member of AFF for a year...plenty of adverts coming through for my male counterparts. All I got, mostly, were cock shots *yawn*
