Welcome to the boards. Have you sent your tribute of goats, gold, mead or a nubile virgin to the Forum God of Mischief yet?

Dang it Twice. I am trying to get her to send herself as tribute.

Riddle me this; If you a Mistress or Master without a sub or slave, what or who are you the Mistress or Master of?

My dog knows who the boss is! However I cant speak for Jali on this one.

As you are a generally acclaimed God at this point i would think The title Master was not something you allowed use of except by your bevy or nubile concubines.

But if you use caps at me i might collapse into a puddle.

Make a divine exception on her behalf to the viginity thing (and send her a copy of the pirate picture)

THATS MASTER GOD!

SCDommie -> RE: D/s vs S/m vs s/M (2/6/2007 2:31:55 PM)

The only real thing you have to remember is the difference between Dominant and Dominate.  The best way to save yourself from that nightmare  is just to write Dom/Dommes for the people.  Dominate for the verb.  LOL

Hey, if anything I said was helpful that would make my day! I remember when I was new to everything, and I just listened like a sponge and soaked it in. Communicate Communicate, Communicate.. and remember that someone may not have the same definitions as you for what it is that they are doing..

Peace

rosanegra -> RE: D/s vs S/m vs s/M (2/6/2007 3:04:10 PM)

Oy... you have no idea how many messages I have DWR'd (Deleted Without Reply) and message windows I have shut down because someone told me they were a, "Dominate male." (or in some cases a, "dominate mail.")

That drives me nuts.

Wulfchyld -> RE: D/s vs S/m vs s/M (2/6/2007 3:10:39 PM)

Oh Crap!!!!

Um... er... rosanegra in that letter I just sent you could you, by chance, pretend that “dominate mail” is actually “dominant male?”

P.S. that was supposed to be Alpha male and not alfalfa mal.

All this info is amazing. Everything was so helpful. I feel like coming to these forums is sorta like coming home. You all are like one crazy, screwed up family, I love it. I am so glad to be a part of this crazyness.

Follow LA 'S link' to the poll, 87% of cm users agreed within slight variations to the definitions.

I do prefer this most recent master definition of yours to the one you gave in that other thread.  From my perception, this new one eliminates the superiority references.

There are many variations of master; BDSM does not have sole claim to this word.  A master is a teacher.  Job titles can contain master, master welder.  The military uses the title of master, i.e. Master Chief.  You can be a master of your craft.  The leather community bestows the title of master to certain individuals.  Having a submissive or slave is not the only way to acheive the title of master.
