ORIGINAL: Wulfchyld If they are going to charge young children as adults they should make them adults. Lower the voting, drinking, smoking, blah blah blah to age 10. I know this seems like a ridiculous concept, however it goes along the same lines of sending 16 and 17 year olds to war with the draft. They can fight and die, but can not vote, drink, smoke or get married. If you had your choice what would the age be that you'd legally be an adult? At what point do we earn the priviledge to answer to what we do wrong on our own? In some states you can get your drivers license at 14, 13 in some arenas. You can drink at 19, 21 in other areas. I know I was in an area where I was 19 it was legal. Should we make it the age that you get your license? Draft, I was not aware they ever drafted anyone before they were 18. I have a cousin who just joined the National Guard, he is 17. He had to have his fathers permission and he cannot go anywhere until he turns 18. There are some states out there where you can get legally married at a drastically young age. I want to say 14 but I might be mistaken. What is the age it should be?
