Harem isn't up there.

P.S. can you give us an unlimited mix/same sex option?

HarleyKitty69 -> RE: what kind of marriages should be allowed? (2/6/2007 3:16:01 PM)

marriage is overrated
lets all live, fuck and play  in a community 60's style....
No jelousy, no STD's, no Alpha, no Beta, everybody is a switch  ......
lets all just be happy happy joy joy...
WELL it looked good on paper......[:D]

anyone who wants to get married, no matter how stupid i think the idea of marriage is, should be able to get married....This is America afterall

LaTigresse -> RE: what kind of marriages should be allowed? (2/6/2007 3:21:17 PM)

Why in the hell would someone want to get married.

Most marriages are a waste of time.as so many people get divorced or have affairs nowadays. It's either people are'nt prepared to work at their marriage or they are in a loveless marriage. So the whole marriage idea is fading a bit in my eyes, but listening on the radio the other day, they reckon marriages are at an alltime high.I'd love to know what the statistics are for divorces are but don't tell you typical lol.

But if anyone does have to get married it has to be a man and a woman. As 2 people of the same sex who want to get married then want to adopt kids,it's not fair on the kids,i don't think.

As kids growing up need to learn things from a man and a lady.otherwise that kid could lead a very unstable life in my opinion anyway.Im sure some people will disagree with me anyway this is what i think about it all.

mnottertail -> RE: what kind of marriages should be allowed? (2/6/2007 3:48:52 PM)

I voted, with reservations:

Two stupid people may not commingle their units for the purpose of procreation, there are enough idiots to last until the seventh generation.

If the male lives in a trailer, and the female in another, from time to time, at least twice a week, they actually have to meet face-to-face.

Actually, the divorce rate has gone down significantly.  Im not sure that its fair to accredit divorces to affairs either.  There are numerous other reasons.

I work with a gay guy that is married with two adopted sons.  His children are more well balanced than most other kids their age, they are focused on the arts and good grades and those children will never discriminate.  I think it has to do with the fact that their parents had to work that much harder for their children. They truly appreciate them and what they represent.  I would venture to say that i bet they are better parents than most.  How many kids were raised almost strictly by their mothers while the fathers work?  I know both of my parents came from families like that and theres nothing wrong with either of them having primarily the mothers influence.

I think that no matter what sex you are, you should have the right to marry.  Gay people pay the same taxes as straight people, they work the same jobs, live in the same communities... so why not be able to reap the same benefits?  Oh wait.. i know.  Because there isnt truly a seperation of church and state.  The bible says it, it must be so.... one man and one woman.  Cute.  And under god i live?

I think not.

Marriages where the participants love one another.

For the most part, I am thankful most of the opinions here will not passed down to offspring!

Gee, would you please tell that Jewel's natural (and mine by way of poly and love) daughter and her lesbian life mate.

See they are raising a legally blind (he sees but only up close if the object is large otherwise everything is shadows) now 19 year old son, our grandson.

They've done such a horrible job he is in his second year of college, regular college not a college for the blind. He is doing so poorly he only has a B+ average so far.

His social skills are so bad from being raised in a lesbian household that at the beginning of this year he was elected social director for his fraternity.

His wonderful straight dad refused to buy him school clothes this year so his dominant poly grandpa gave his bisexual poly grandmas, one a domme, one a slave, money and they took him shopping and bought his clothes and shoes.

still deciding what to vote however i do know from my own experience i had a civil marriage of convenience. he got his "green" card and i got my Christian family off my back bccause we weren't accepted at family functions unless we were married - living together is a sin. after divorcing from an 11yr marriage, i don't know if i would want to take another trip down the aisle. though i would like to have the wedding i didn't get - something simple and classy.

what i mean is, those people who are bisexual should have as many partners of either or both genders as they want.

the reason (my opinion) that the divorce rate has gone down is due to the numerous people who have already been through it and have finally found what they are looking for...trial and error.

Wulfchyld -> RE: what kind of marriages should be allowed? (2/6/2007 5:56:59 PM)

I found a good option in your list michael. This is a very good topic, I am glad you made it.

michaelOfGeorgia -> RE: what kind of marriages should be allowed? (2/6/2007 5:59:14 PM)

btw, who needs a piece of paper to justify marriage? i think they this paper should be eliminated amd people should be able to enter into or leave a relationship without trying to figure out who gets what.

p.s. On a related note, in college I did a paper on the best relationship structure possible between couples.  From researching utopian ideals and marraige counselor statistics, the utopian ideal I came up with was a 5 year renewable contract with what was essentially a pre-nuptial agreement in the event of children.
