I am grateful for the fact that after day 4 of spending 6 hours in my mock assailant armor being mean to people, the students in todays class thanked me from the bottom of their hearts for my efforts and my vast panoply of annoying and antagonistic characters they had to learn to verbally and physically dissuade from picking on them.

But then, it is 8:30pm and my body and soul are exhausted and I am going to sleep.

I am grateful I have a Daddy that thinks so much of empowering people he will spend his vacation time flying around, torturing himself to teach them how to defend themselves. I appreciate you.

As someone who is approaching the bottom bit of life's ski slope I am grateful that at the moment I am still physically active and reasonably mentally alert.
The question is to whom, the whom sounds really poncy I think, but to whom or at what should we direct our gratitude. ?
Is it all a matter of chance ? Questions questions. !!

When I lost a fair bit of weight, unplanned its just happened, all my cheapo clothes dont fit any more.
Should I be grateful for that ?

I think that sometimes we miss the things that are good because we just are not paying attention to them. So I thought I would start a thread about what you are grateful for.

I will start, I am grateful for my family.

I am grateful for a vision I had, where I saw a burning bush, coupled together with a booming voice, which said '' Cancel your subscription with Direct TV, and never look back.''

I am truly grateful for being sixty-four bucks richer every month.

I'm grateful to be relatively healthy, and a functioning member of society.   I'm also grateful for my family...especially my 3 beautiful young  adult children.

I'm continuously grateful for the ability to look outside of myself and understand that no matter what trials and tribulations i experience....some one else is facing far worse...with  grace...

i woke up this morning....for that...i am grateful...

I am so grateful that my doctor listened to my very vague complaint of feeling unwell at the end of 2005 and sent me for tests.  Almost 18 months, 4 operations and a few complications later I don't need another scan till November - woohoo!!!  And yes, I thank my doctor every time I see her.
