Physically I suppose.  Mentally it doesn't do much for me either way.  If done right, it feels really good and I enjoy it, just like kissing, oral, hair brushing, etc.

Status: offline 		We haven't done much other than anal sex and spanking.  At first I couldn't stand anything back there, it hurt too much and I just felt uncomfortable with it.
 
Now, I very much love it and look forward to more things that are involved.  For me, its the pleasure..but also the mental aspect.  It seems a bit forbidden, and it makes my body feel like its no longer mine, he has total control over all parts of it..even the "forbidden" ones.

Status: offline 		For me it is mental.  I guess maybe I have been torn too often down there that I just get scared when anyone starts to go there....BUT...is a big thing for me, I want to go there, is like you take any hole any time you want it.  The mental aspect sends me into a state that I am owned and he can do with me as he pleases....if that makes sense.

I fantascy about it a lot, and slowly starting to feel something other than pain...lol...is strange, years ago I was with a Dom that required I wear a butt plug for at least 8 hours a day.  It never hurt back then.....maybe I should go get checked out.

Bingo that’s me! I can enjoy ass play when in a vanilla situation but the thrill of ass play for me is that it makes me feel very submissive which is why I probably also enjoy it in vanilla settings. Physically it is less stimulating but mentally it is way more stimulating.

Status: offline 		I enjoy it for both. In terms of the physical aspect, it just feels good. The mental aspects of it vary, but some of the reasons I love to do it to someone are:

1. It often makes them feel especially slutty.
2. Some women cannot orgasm from being done in the ass, which makes me ever so pleased that it's all for me.
3. Some women just plain don't like it at, so then I really enjoy the fact that they are taking it for me.
4. And as RevenMuse said, it does often trigger a very submissive response. One of the strongest and toughest women I've ever known, that person you'd never expect to be submissive, would completely submit the second I went anywhere near her back there.

For me its primarily the physical aspect of it.  Anything with my owner has a D/s overtone, so for that reason it certainly has a bit of a mental aspect.  But its not much of a taboo or forbiden thing for me, its just something that when done a particular way just feels very good (and with my owner something I can orgasm from).

Tearing is bad. I hate to say on a site like this that anything is "right" or "wrong" but I think if you are experiencing tears then you are doing it "wrong". Try to get your owner to slow down, use more lube, and give you a chance to open up.
