Tiredone: You may need to see a different doctor. And try a different anti-depressant, sounds like. Maybe. I do know there are some really weird psychiatrists out there - but fortunately if you live in a big city (or close to one) , you can choose a different one, and competent ones do exist (even though your hope could be waning in this regard. I know the feeling, btw, hehe. Don't give up!)

There are at least fifteen anti-depressants on the market today. Some of them may make a person feel crazy(ier), and some may work wonders. One of them will probably work better for you? Maybe you need a bigger dose? I dunno. But I'd go see a doctor. Really. Your nic suggests you are "tired" - and maybe this could be one reason? Maybe. I don't know.

Even if you have no insurance, some doctors will work on a "sliding scale" fee basis, according to your income. So, don't delay - there is probably a solution to your dilemma.

One more point after reading this thread. I have noticed that many on anti depressants either do not experience subspace or subdrop while on the meds. Perhaps I read this wrong, but if that is the case, it is rather telling that subspace is a biochemical reaction in the brain. Anyone that has experienced subspace while on meds will hopefully respond to this post and show that reading on it is a mistaken one. It is a rather interesting possibility.

hi, julia...i am on meds & i do indeed experience subspace...i'm not sure that i would be doing this if i didn't experience that...hmmmm...although maybe i would on second thought, because it's not ALL about subspace for me...the whole thing is so very complex...i just don't tend to experience subdrop where i get emotionally overwrought...i have learned ways over the many years to deal with the negative emotions & put them aside in favor of the positive ones...the meds are simply there to keep me from falling into the well...the rest of my emotional health is dependent on my attitude, i think......
