I love teaching English here, and would do it for free if I didn't have to eat. Having said that, there's definate advantages to getting paid for what you do, though some definate disadvatages. The advantages are, of course, getting paid to do something you would do anyway. That money could go towards better equipment, better space, or a nice relaxing weekend in an exotic location. People who pay are often more serious about what they are getting involved with then people who do it for 'fun' as well. On the other hand, when someone pays for a session, they are often more demanding about their particular interests - something you have to be very conscious of. He might ask for a fetish you are either not interested in, or something that bores the pants off you, but as a 'paying customer' you have an obligation to go with it. On the other hand, if you make it clear you are not doing this as a 'Pro' you will have a great deal more flexibility in selecting what work you might wish to take (or not.) In the end, it's just like anything - if you enjoy doing it, then great. If you find it takes something away from your enjoyment, then nobody is holding a gun to your head. As mentioned earlier, I think $100.00 is way underpriced. I would suggest no less then the $200.00 range for one Dom, though naturally this depends on the means that the client has availible. If you would want to work with them even without payment, then you could aways offer to do it for less. Enjoy! Stephan

Then, before Christmas...I got a flood...another email. It was, I admit, one of the most beautiful things I ever saw. Something I'll never forget, and something without this kind of forum, I'd never be able to explain to anyone else. It's amazing, almost everyone I've ever known would have been frightened, concerned, eager to call the police...yet I couldn't take my eyes off what was happening right in front of me. Inbetween being mesmerized, stunned, overwhelmed and so incredibly happy for the person being beaten, surrounded by a roomful of a dozen or more people also rapt in attention, locked on the activities, first one tear fell, then another, and in a minute or so I couldn't breathe, balling my eyes out. A few people next to me, knowing I was entirely new to this kind of thing came over and calmed me, pet my hair lightly, told me "it's okay...let it out"...and all I could do was look up at them with bewilderment ("I don't understand what's happening!! Why is this affecting me so? This is soooo wrong as to everything I've ever been taught, yet it feels so absolutely right!"), totally helpless, the person who was in charge of the event looked at me and smiled knowingly, and I just sat there like a baby and cried. I didn't seem to be able to stop myself. To this day, it's one of the most incredible, beautiful, loving things I've ever seen. When it was over, the recipient looked at the one who had done all the heavy lifting with a look of complete and total love, absolute fealty, and all I could think of at the moment was..."how can I just melt into the furniture and stay here forever?"

In the Uk dom rates are anything between the very low end of £100 GBP per hoiur up to £300 GBP Many doms of course do reduced rates for longer sessions.

$100 doesn't cover your time setting up the scene or cleaning up afterwards. You have to figure another hour for that. Double the rate if you start getting a lot of interest.

I have charged for various sexual and bdsm "services" and having made furniture for a variety of pro-dommes as well as counting a number of them as close friends I am familiar with the business. There is very little call for straight male dominants but I have begun to wonder if that is simply that the market hasn't been correctly approached. There are women of means and taste who appreciate the finer things and prefer to do certain things without emotional strings just as certain men do. I think that a talented male dominant with the reputation to support that statement could easily charge $250 an hour although because one would be dealing with women, most "take" longer than men and so accommodations around time would have to be made. I was recently almost employed for a rather interesting evening. A client wanted to listen to another woman being tortured and pleasured and was going to pay all my expenses in addition to my time just so she could listen. She had even procured the women upon whom I was to lavish the pain and pleasure. Unfortunately the timing didn't work for me and I had to decline the offer. I think it is high time that men break into this business!
