Dana Rohrabacher, Duncan Hunter, Tom Tancredo, etc...They all came out very, very strongly against President Bush for pardoning drug dealers but not pardoning border guards. Rohrabacher is the one threatning impeachment because of the border guard case and the president's refusal to secure the border.
Duncan Hunter called the warden of the prison and the warden assured him that the border agent was put into isolation as federal law states all convicted federal officers be put in isolation from the general population. After hanging up, the warden put him back into general population and the very next day, he was beaten and then not given medical treatment until 2 days later.
Someone needs to lose their job!!

If you think 1,000 officers will do a damn thing, you are a fool! Have you seen what these mexican drug cartels have in their arsenals? They have military-grade weapons. RPGs, AK-47s. They are like little militias. They come across the border escorting drug dealers and human traffickers. And you think 1,000 more border guards who are under orders to retreat from any confrontation will secure our border???

I read several newspapers a day and I have yet to see anything about this.

The Tennessee national guard recieved medals for RETREATING!
 
Douglas MacArthur won the medal of honor for retreating so not much surprises me anymore.

If Bush refuses to protect the United States from invasion, he failing to complete his constitutional obligations and needs to be impeached. And with an approval rating lower than when Nixon left office, I doubt many would come to his defense.  I say throw the coke-head out!!!!

Actually I thought alcohol was his drug of choice...but whatever it takes to toss him out works for me...but then the down side is we have shotgun dick at the helm.  Out of the frying pan into the fire.

And if so, should someone who now makes say $10 an hour, go up to $15 (the new minimum wage) or up to $20 an hour (the same $10/hour increase as the people who now make minimum wage), or $30/hour(300% increase, same % as your increase for minimum wage)?

  Funny you should ask me that, Thom.  About ten years ago, a friend of a brother, with some excellent ASVAB scores, said he was joining the Corps.  I made some kind of "Full Metal Jacket" remark, and he said, "Oh, no.  They changed all that, I just have to go through a few weeks of inprocessing and transition, and then they send me to electronics school."  I don't think he appreciated me laughing in his face right then, but he was a smart kid and did well in the Navy.

    That wasn't the point though.  If a recruiter (any branch) is shy on the quota, and thinks the recruit is gullible enough, he'll claim the sky is green and that men carry the babies.  My comment was to the expected credibility of your source (Speaking of, I went from memory earlier, the correct link is www.supremecourtus.gov ).  Military recruiters, used car salesmen, mortgage brokers, just because they tell the truth when it is convenient, doesn't mean I'm going to take their word for it if the say the best thing to come out of a penis are the wrinkles.

   If you are going to demand evidence and then challenge the accuracy of what is provided, you are going to have to do a whole lot better yourself. 

    Or, you could just stow it, and bring some intelligence and experience to the conversation.  Whichever.

Actually they do.  They are interested in helping their rich friends obtain slave labor.  They are interested in the illicit drug trade because it allows them to keep increasing the budget for prison construction and more cops.  Now if they have a huge capacity for incareration coupled with a huge police force then at the stroke of a pen the 70% of the folks who are in jail on drug related charges are released they will have not only the capacity to imprission but  also the ability to apprehend anyone who seeks to disagree with their facist policies.  seems pretty straightforward to me....but then some call me paranoid.
