Well rats, MaryT, ya stole my answer right from under my fingers...lol

Actually i'm here because there's always something interesting going on. i've met the greatest people in the forums, and even the ones who's kink and/or experience aren't what i'm about, i love learning from those that do, those that don't or can't, and even those who have little interest in WIITWD.

It's also a great way to while away the time until my date is here :)

Much of the time I am 400 miles away from My girl and with time on My hands to wander into forums like this one.

Currently I am about 10ft away from her and she is sleeping sweetly catching up on the fact that she needs more sleep than her Master.

I come to message boards because I like to. I have done so when I have been owned and when I have been free. The message boards I read and/or post to be on things that I cannot get real life conversations that interest me in. So for me it is message boards about this life, politics and my favorite TV shows.

Posting has nothing to do with if I was owned or not. I live a fairly complete life with a job, friends and hobbies but I will not pretend that my life is so fabulous that I do not spend significant hours watching TV and/or in front of a computer. Everyone fills up their free time in their own way. One of mine that I enjoy very much is message boards. It has nothing to do about needs and everything to do about being intellectually stimulated on subjects I am interested in and just entertainment.

I come to the forums because there are certain questions Sir can not answer for me and to spare him from my incessant analytical thinking and babble, otherwise I fear I would find myself sitting in the corner gagged or kneeling before him doing something else to keep me from talking. ;)

I’m also hoping to make friends eventually.

I'm here because this was recommended to me by someone I respect. We lost our local community a few years ago and I had become rather lonely as a result. My vanilla friends are all cool and they love my family, then ever "get" that Fox is my slave but it isn't the same as talking to others in the scene.

However I hope I find a job for 2008 in a place that has a friendly stable scene community because online just isn't the same at all as face-to-face munches, workshops, and parties.

On the other hand I was deeply hurt then happened in the old local scene, it hurt my family in fact, so I'm cautious about getting involved again.

I’ve always enjoyed studying history by reading biographies of historical figures. I learn more about a subject when I see the various personalities interacting as we do here. Plus, the regular posters usually possess a consciousness, sensitivity and responsiveness that’s fun to be around. The board has sifted down to those I find valuable.

Once I learned these people, it was an intriguing experience to see the debates, jokes and relationships as they unfolded. Posting would often become frenzied late into the night as the chum was poured on the boards. It is human nature to admire those who come across in noble and serene ways, while wondering about those who are desperate in the ways they have to fight one battle after another.

There are also the practical techniques revealed, the lessons learned by others and the subtle therapy of being with others in the lifestyle provides.

i'm not in a relationship right now and have no people in RL to talk with about any of this, so this kind of keeps me 'connected' to 'the lifestyle'.....particularly since i am not into the munches/public scene stuff either.

I have a less than desireable BDSM scene where I live...hence this is my only venue for the moment ,to learn, listen or to relate in some way...It is my BDSM fix so to speak...
