aaaaaaaawwwwwwww.... so sweet.... Kiwi is our replacement companion for Baboo... we had his sister, she died before she turned 1 from a kidney disease I didn't know about. The night before she died, she hopped in the shower with me as if to say goodbye... she loved water! I put her in her bed with her baby blanket and Baboo just sat by her (I was going to bring her to the hospital again in the morning, she had been there during the day), the next morning, he jumped on the bed around 5am and howled and stood ontop of us trying to wake us up (this is not typical behavior), it was because Misha (his sister) had passed... was so sad. We got Kiwi that day for his new sister and they are inseperable... if one can't find the other, they howl looking... I also never ignore Baboo now when he cries at odd times, I wonder always if he's trying to tell me something important, actually, I worry when he does cry too loud, he's typically so quiet. Being outside, that reminds me of another story... Usually, in my old apartment, I would take Baboo outside on a leash... otherwise, he'd run too far away -- he's like lightening! Well, one day, he pushed the screen out of the window and got out on his own. I was frantic when I figured it out (saw his old sister, Misha, sitting by the bathroom window crying for breakfast)... Called him and called him, going nuts! He came running back because he had to use the litter box... LOL... it was hysterical... this is one of the reasons he remains an indoor-only cat, he has no feline instincts whatsoever.
