OMG--that's about the funniest thing i've heard all day....i mean, okay, so it's only 9am, but still...where can i sign up for the sportscasters??? [8D]
A little more on the topic, i'll disclaimer by saying that i am very new to my local scene, but at the dungeon i go to, there are rules against even talking to ppl who are scening, unless it's an announced instruction night, which means that the sceners are required to answer questions about why they're doing it, what they're doing, etc (and can i say, i have to refrain from saying to the sub "Oooh, does that HURT?" when it obviously does...meh, i'll chalk that up to my newness with such things, and me not knowing how it all feels yet). So at our dungeon, the score cards and sportscasters would definitely be out...unfortunately.
That being said, i think i would be a little uncomfortable if i was watching a scene, and the guy next to me was wacking off. My dungeon also has rules about sex during open nights, and i'm guessing that masturbation would fall under those rules, but i don't know....
i think for me, the bottom line has to be the rules of the public play area...if the rules permit masturbation of either sex (and really, let's be honest, no one's probably going to complain about the women, b/c i don't know any men who are grossed out by women masturbating in ANY arena, and women probably won't care that much about seeing other women masturbate...plus, women are less likely to anyway, as has already been pointed out)....as i was saying, fi the rules permit it, i think by being there, you consent to it, and probably shouldn't complain.
If the rules don't permit it, i'm again going to go with consent, and say that the rules should be enforced by the DM's, b/c people have NOT consented to be wanking material in this case. Just my .02.
