I assume we're thinking serious relationship, not occasional beatings, yes? In that case, if the submissive was able to support herself or himself, without living with me, and possessed of enough play money to pay his way, if not mine, for the occasional meal out, AND if the poverty was honorable, then yes. What's honorable poverty? In a job that doesn't make much money, and living within those means comfortably. This is especially okay if the job is something I regard as socially responsible or noble. Another option: going back to school, and living on savings/loans/financial aid. Yet another: out of work due to industry decline (like the scads of engineers a few years ago) and living on savings and looking for work. The key here is that the person exhibits financial responsibility and independence. Monica

Like most of the other Ladies have said here, the reason for the poverty must be taken into account. Companies downsize or go bank-rupt, your department is closed, funding is allocated to a different project, etc. Some people have to work for low wages as part of their student loan agreements for a few years. Some people are very service oriented and work in the social services/mental health field for less that optimum wages. Perhaps the person had to care for an aging parent or other family member. Life happens. You adapt and grow in order to survive. I expect my submissives to be working toward a goal in their life; whether that be academic, career, military, artistic, etc. I want someone who has interaction with other people and who is able to converse about a variety of subjects.

greetings to all to me a poor submissvie is one who say ( write a plan for me and send it) or ( read this and you can learn something and use it ) no we have not meant ( one who disappear for weeks and then calls and it so sad i lose my wallet or i lose my truck ) one who is thinking only of himselve they are so many different ways to be a bad submissive. many will put down ( i will lick you and suck you or i will do this or that do your feet ) now i do not like my feet touch so he has lost it there. one who only write what they want is the key not waiting to see what you want . this is the problem to me. i meant a wonderful submissive i know him for 6 years and he know how to be a good submissive and know what to say and do i am lucky to have him what a sweet thing he is thanks for listening to that mons
