Status: offline 		Here's is a fairly important issue. So may I inject some thoughts here. Individual writing skills along with a whole host of other issues, have our slave communities in dire need and help from our esteemed dominate counterparts.

I would suggest, if from your recall, or other stored access, that you "cut and paste" the most memroable "Slave Intro" you ever heard. If we give but a few "would be slaves" the chance to read the perfect introduction, and they find it a complete solution to what they want to say; they could copy and use it for their own use.

I hope to hear from a few entries on this, with great interest and curiosity.

On a side note, I personally would never cut & paste the introduction letters I've received into a public forum because they are personal, private and were written for me and my eyes only.

Status: offline 		I agree with LadyAngelika, I would never post the introduction letter, but I will share this much. I received a letter from a male slave asking me permission to send a letter of introduction. The letter was extremely well written, words spelled correctly and was very respectful... I told him I would be honored to read it and we are still in contact. And just as an fyi... he is from overseas. If he can go to the trouble of making sure that all of the words are spelled right and the grammer is good... and I have to tell you, that says a LOT... the people that live in this country and english is their first language... well, dictionaries are cheap and easy to use. Just my opinion.

Status: offline 		What works best for me is direct, honest approach, telling me about yourself (generic you), not telling me your fetish/needs until I ask about them, telling me how you feel you can fit into my life, much better than cut and paste; I've gotten that, to me it reeks of insincerity, and I don't want to be one of the 50 Dommes you send the same email to. M

Status: offline 		I've received a couple of impressive personal introduction letters from subs on this site. Unfortunately, when I responded, the subs disappeared without futher communication. It's much more impressive to me when a sub can continue to communicate with me, even if it's only to say "Sorry, I've changed my mind."

What usually makes an intro letter perfect is that it is personal, fairly grammatically correct and respectful. It is written TO the Dominant, and is not just some random cover letter. I can not tell you how many times I've gotten long rambling letters of detailed introduction that I know have been sent to 500 other women. I hit del and move on. If I am not special enough for you to know why you'd want to serve me, and write a well thought out personalized letter telling me enough about where are interests mesh to catch my attention, you're not worth my time.

You are very unlikely to attract a Domme with cut and paste.

After reading your 10 Steps For Making A Good First Impression, that is definitely required reading for all subs who wonder in. This makes me think of a feature I've seen elsewhere called "Forum Classics". Your post is surely a prime example for such a feature. I admire your dedication and thank you sincerely.

After reading just a few of the responses here, I must agree totally that a complete cut and paste would be inappropriate. By keeping the discussion alive and renewing it from time to time, we can remind the would be sub how important the issue is when making an initial introduction.

Then that is a fault of the profile and there is little that you can do about that. Perhaps we need a tutorial on how to write a good profile... any co-author volunteers?

Status: offline 		Additionally, sub/slave should READ a desired domme's profile what is required to submit information along with your well-written introduction. Oh, about pics, personally I don't appreciate your genital area pics over and aver again.
That is a totall turn-off - that I never want to respond.
BDSM/Vanilla - it doesn't matter I don't want to be greeted by your penis especially I haven't even seen your face!!

Also, BE HONEST - if it's smelly and sketchy from the beginning, it's a sign of No-No to me.
Your age, physical condition & appearence etc have to be as accurate as possible if you really want to meet a domme in real time.

The best introductions I have ever received from submissive men, both on the net and in person, have been completly unsubmissive. They were polite, honest, eloquent, self confident and interesting. The sex side, the sub side, the kink list, the wish list of fetishes -- all secondary.

What impresses me is when a man makes the effort to get to know me as a woman, and wants me to know him as a man, and let the femdom/malesub details come a little secondary. No need to be bomdarded with a list of fetishes right out of the gate.

And I don't like men that posture as submissive or meek. I like them to act normal and show their "outward" personalities, which often for subs is very non-submissive.

Couldn't have said it better myself. (Hello, new here, hope y'all don't mind me hopping on in.)

I'll just reiterate the need for good grammar, spell check, etc. I can't stand "'net speak" and I immediately dismiss who uses it. Plus, I'm not just interested in a slave, I am interested in a whole person, and I hope you are too. That goes along with just telling me about yourself. I think Akasha put it so eloquently. :)

Status: offline 		Same here Secret and Oumae ... it always makes me wonder what they are really up to.

And I tend to ask them - or point out to them that it's polite to end communication if you are finished talking with someone. A few of them have actually responded, appologizing - some of them even have reasonable excuses for vanishing (the one who's mother has cancer - and he can provide details, so if his mom doesn't have cancer now, someone close to him has had it in the recent past - him, I can forgive for vanishing). Most of them though, take the coward's route and don't reply, or worse, delete the message without reading it.

I think they should have the fortitude to say what they want/need to, even if they think we won't like it. I much prefer honesty to cowardice.
