OK sweetiepie...I will take you up on the challenge.....I am to a munch, to the club, out with friends, have lifestyle friends over in that line....average...at least 20 times a month.  Maybe even more so now that I am under the weather..as since the club is only 5 minutes away....they tend to stop by on the way there or from to check up on me.  Plus my house is kinda the place to go if anyone needs an ear.

Hmmm now, LOL I've had so many thoughts over how to respond it's incredible. The idea of a profile isn't just what you write about yourself but also what you fill out in the extra stuff and for CM its the Intrests section and if it is filled out completely telling what you love to what your hard limits are then I get a real good idea of who you are and if YOU are worth persuing. Now, what you write about what your seeking rather than what your not makes me for example want to write you.

Now what goes along with that is finding you in some of the chatrooms and yea sometimes the forums as I get a better inside view of you as a person... BUT!!!! POLL TIME........ How many of you actually attend on a regular basis getitng together in some fashion be it either a munch, play party, local club if there is one or just hang out?? I challenge you to answer that.

Now beth sweetie you wrote nothing wrong but....... LOL (they're all goin' here it comes).........

in the INTEREST area of where our profiles are cover our hard limits and I know Domestic Servitude is there then kindly post it under HARD LIMITS, if you don't want to be shit upon then post it the same way. NOW I DID!!!!!!!!!! read profiles of the people who posted here and most... NOT ALL were filled in so I knew whether I thought you did or could fit into my life as I desired.

Now this ahem *person*(idiot) and I use the term loosely who wrote beth that caused her to write a TOPIC in the first place.. and was alluded to in a few responses wasn't worth the time and I totally agree. My suggestion to any of you send back in BIG as the Fonts allow show a real burst of laughter HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Well you've heard my piece and I'll be watching as to how my little challenge goes.....

oooh, yah, I don't want to know anymore... Thank you though!

and domiguy, I used to reveal my weight, etc., when I was looking... no need to go into details these days...

Anyhow, if I was still looking, I'd definitely want to know if somebody was interested in this "Cleaveland Steamer" thing... gosh... we wouldn't be compatable... going back to the cruise ship now... Bon Voyage!

O.k.....The Cleveland Steamer is also a nice break-up tool....But what if after you broke up with somone via...C.S. and then you stole their dog and sold it through an ad in an adjacent town's newspaper.....Should that be in your profile?   No particular reason..... Just asking a simple question...One I'm sure many out here wanted to ask, but were scurrrred.

To the original question as to what should be put in a profile:

I think anything that you feel would be a "deal breaker" to someone else is something that should be included. Granted, we can't always predict what other people's deal breakers will be, but we generally have a good idea as to whether a certain quality we possess might cause controversy or problems.

It sounds like you and this guy who messaged you had a misunderstanding. While I personally feel that one's ability to wear a corset and heels is pretty trivial , it was obviously important to him and he has a right to demand that in a partner. What we do IS physical in nature in many ways, and I can understand him being slightly upset that you weren't upfront about such in your profile. I can also understand why you think he was being shallow, but it's just that different people have different priorities and that's life.

For example, I feel all dominants should disclose in their profiles whether or not they have unmentionables, because it's something that is very important to me. When I take time to message a guy only to find out he has UMs, I do feel a little upset and feel as though he should have disclosed that ahead of time. He may in turn feel that his UM status was unimportant to the subject at hand. It doesn't make one of us right and  the other wrong...it just means we have different priorities.

My gut reaction? Wanting a girl to wear heels and corsets all the time IS shallow to me (and unhealthy on top of it when done all the time.) However, that is only my opinion and I can't fault someone else for having that as a priority.

just in case anyone mis-interpreted me, I wasn't advocating for one side or the other... I did tend to put a lot of information on my old profile, because that's how I wrote it.

But, my point was more that even if you put it all (even if you decided to put that you stole their dog and sold it through an ad in an adjacent town's newspaper on your profile), or completed your lists of limits/likes, more than likely, you are still going to have to remind them what it says, because not everybody reads the whole profile.  So, you're damned if you do, damned if you don't.

I think you should put whatever you like on your profile, remain honest and true to what you feel comfortable with...

I just happened to have been more comfortable with putting it out there right away for everyone to see, so they didn't contact me if they didn't like my flaws.  But, that's just my feeling on the matter.

There are a lot of those, you're right. Sometimes it seems like they are in an overwhelming majority. But once in a while someone I really want to know comes along on the internet, and I've made a couple of friends that way (r/t, r/l friends). I think that's called something like "transient reinforcement," and it keeps me coming back, in hope, to look for the one who will be my most important friend.

I do not mind making friends, but I get a little sick of contacting someone and ask them a friendly question or two about their profile and a "hi, how are you doing?" and I get a rude, ignorant response back or some three word reply that was not even worth my wasted time opening.  I do not make a pass at them, I do not make any sexual or superficial comments, even about a pretty lady or anything, but just comments on an exuded intelligence or something like that, just to be friendly.  I am not interested in a relationship so I have no idea what their damn issue is.  The funny thing is that these ignorant people come in here and then whine and complain about the quality of the responses they get (or brag about their HNG emails).

Sorry you've had some lousy experiences. I hope the few good notes do sometimes help make up for the bad ones.

What I don't put in my profile:
  • Pictures of my animals ( I don't want others to covet or have preverted tendencies towards them. No hand parties!).
  • Pictures of my meals ( I don't want people jealous that I married a good cook).
  • Pictures of my books ( I don't want people to know that all my books have more pictures than words).
  • My favorite bands website ( New Kids on the Block are uncool now, and I don't want to look like a dork).
  • My Hobbies ( I don't think that anyone would think that scrapping the remains of suicidial butterflies off their windshield is as much fun as I do).

Yes, but only let the people who really need it see the information. Maybe it well help your credit score up.

Oh wait I think this belongs in the Really Bad Advice thread.
