what special things will you be doing for your Masters tomorrow?

Mine is getting a pedicure and homemade chocolate mousse [:)]

I have bought him some pressies that I can't currently list because he's reading over my shoulder. I shall hide them in places where he won't expect to find them.

(I'm thinking the fridge. Where else would you list expect to find a book on bartending?) [:D]

A homemade dinner and something chocolate for dessert, whatever body part he wants rubbed will get rubbed and whatever part of me he wants to beat, poke, or rub will get beaten, poked or rubbed.
In other words....it will be just exactly the same as every other night :-). (That is, wonderful.)

Mine is getting me to go to the doctor and hopefully will no longer have a submissive who is bent over and groaning for no kinky reason.

He's also getting a linen shirt, and possibly chocolate raisin cake.  [:)]

Well it started tonight with Papa Johns for dinner- I dislike pizza and specially that kind- while it's his favorite.  So I got that as a surprise to perk him up.

Then there's chocolate CDs I'm making with red candy.

And tomorrow there's KFC for dinner and some sweet cards (a tradition for us).

Miss that's like saying we need christmas as an excuse to do special things for our family.

I don't think anyone here would say they ONLY do or want to do special things for their close and/or loved ones on valentines day.

But taking a day and making it specifically for that purpose can be a great thing- something to look forward to and remember and take stock for what's there.

well call me cynical but i dont need a special day to do special things - just my opinion. I dislike any holiday - be it xmas, birthdays, mothers day etc etc [:D]

Nah, they're good.

I don't do Valentine's Day.  Neither does he.  I never liked the day much myself, and he's many things but romantic is not one of 'em. [;)]

I have had this conversation so many times in the last few days.  Although Valentine's Day isn't nearly as commercial in New Zealand as it is in the US.

Everyday life gets in the way of our relationships all the time.  We may not remember to take time out to say, "I love you" all the time or do that something special.  Having a day that is specifically for that can make us all take a time out, spend some time in surprising our partner(s), and telling them that although we may not do it everyday, we really do appreciate them, love them, and feel they are very special.

And why does it make it different if we're doing something special on this day compared to any other?  Does that something special become less just because it's on Feb 14 instead of any other random day of the year?  Knowing that V Day is coming up just makes people put more thought into it.  I can't find a reason that a day devoted to love is a bad thing.

Anyway, I made my husband a handmade card and will be presenting it to him tonight in a special way.  (But that's a secret!)

We do nothing. I love him, he loves me - we know it 365 days a year.

We don't do Christmas, Groundhogs, or St. Patrick's day either - we celebrate eachother and our families every day.

You seem to think people who enjoy holidays "need" them to do special things.  That's silly, IMO.  But I must admit that I wouldn't show up at work dressed as Elvira on just any day, and for good reason.  [:)]
