ORIGINAL: NorthernGent I'm not a fan of lagers at all. The likes of Stella, Heineken etc (known here as lagers rather than beers) are like piss i.e. water, gas and flavouring. Nor am I a wine, alcopops or spirits drinker. Having said that the Czechs do half decent lagers e.g. staropramen (more royal piss than peasant piss but still not fit to tie the shoelaces of British ales). We have a right old selection of real ales over here. My current favourite is Flat Cap, brewed by Bank Top brewery in Bolton. Also, like Landlord, Champion and loads of others. For those interested in real ale, here's a link to British beer festivals where you can sample anything upto 450 ales over a few days. I've been to a fair few in the North - you get some weIrd and wonderful ales that are sold only in the village they are brewed and at festivals (none of this mass produced bollocks). http://www.camra.org.uk/page.aspx?o=199435 Ad nauseam...... This is the first post where I now think that I haven't had half the experiences as y'all.... I don't particularily like sweet. I'll down a whole bottle of Bailey's and other Irish Creams, as well as Scotch (all the variations as my wallet affords) Stout dark beers and watered down light beers, red wines, sherrys, ports..... I even from time to time concede to the rich fuck buying everyone 'his' drink at the bar just to taste his pleasure. But for me and my money, I will stick to Corona with lime, J&B or Johnny Walker, "what's on tap" and a whole plethora of Scotch alternatives, wine, port, sherry, and even on a bad night succumb to Yager and drinks that are a whole phrase of what you want to do tonight: "Sex on the beach", "Blowjob", "Nasty Betty with VD" and so forth. LOL. Anyone drink that?
