~fast reply to the above debate over beer (but no one in particular)~ ummm... wondering, am I the only one that noticed, you all are having very lengthy, somewhat heated, discussions about Beer? Maybe somebody could be so kind as to answer a few questions since you seem to be experts. Back in the 80's when I was in Europe, I remember that the alcohol content was higher in beer there than in the states... is that the same now? Does that have anything to do with the taste? Also, wouldn't shipping something overseas affect the taste of beer? My friends dad loves beer (he's from Switzerland), but, he says to drink what is local to you for the best taste, he travels a lot, so searches out local favorites. Do you all agree? Well, I just think everybody is going to like what they like. I personally, don't care much for beer, only on occasions, and depends on the company I'm with at the time... although, I had a delicious Strawberry Beer imported from the UK -- was about $5.00/bottle in the store 4 years ago though!
